Yesterday my phone beeped and I had a text from Next telling me it was time to pay my account. So off I went to make a payment, and of course I had a look at their new arrivals…
With Christmas around the corner I thought it would be fun to find some Christmas jumpers for the whole family. Ok, so they’re pretty tacky but if there’s ever a time you can get away with wearing a tacky jumper, it’s Christmas!!
C’mon, admit it, you know you want one!

New delivery + wonderful weather means only one thing… impromptu photoshoot!
Last week my new collection of leggings arrived just in time for me to throw them on Lamb and his buddies and head to the park for a quick photoshoot.
Since launching my leggings last year I’ve been slowly learning how to promote my brand. I’ve realised exciting shots of the leggings on kids are vital to a positive shopping experience.
Currently I just have flat shots of the leggings. It was always my intention to photograph the first collection on lamb. However, running a blog, business, boy and bump was pretty full on (and exhausting!) so I never got round to it.
When my friends and I decided to go for a picnic last week I asked them if they would be happy for the kids to do a bit of modelling. Luckily I’ve got pretty awesome friends who all helped get the kids excited and run around in the leggings.
Another reason I wanted to get lifestyle shots so quickly is because a lot of people who see my designs assume they are for boys. I know the colours I’ve chosen do sway towards boys, but I suppose that comes naturally to me as a mum of 2 boys! However everything I design I also see on girls, and being unisex is really important to me. As you can see they look fab on both boys and girls!
Taking into consideration the comments I received I decided to design a dinosaur print that would easily suit a girl or boy. Stevie Stegosaurus has a light grey background with a purple dinosaur, making it very unisex.
As I have an obsession with monochrome, I had to design another grey/black/white print (especially as the grey penguin print was a bestseller). The ‘Snow Leopard’ leggings look fab on Lamb, but also go really well with pink.
Navy is one of my fave colours for girls. As you can see they look amazing on Lambs lovely friend. She’s a girly girl, but has a pretty cool wardrobe with a mix of unisex items too.
Finally, the Crocodiles are already proving popular on social media. The sandy background colours works really well with the bright green. You can team these with neutrals or autumn colours.
Here’s a little selection of my favourite photos from the shoot. Aren’t they adorable?! I’ve got a lot of love for these kids.
The products will be online very soon, I’m just trying to find the time to upload them!
I’d love your feedback, so feel free to comment with your thoughts.
It’s been a while since I shared what I’ve been buying for the boys with you. Well, apart from snaps on Instagram. This is mainly because I’m too poor to shop! After finally receiving my insurance settlement I decide to update the boys wardrobes and treat them. I’ve been saving all the new bits I’ve picked up recently to put into one big shopping haul post.
There’s a mix of baby and younger boy (I have to stop calling him a toddler!) clothes that I picked up in the sale or from new season – so a bit of everything!
As you can see I’m loving grey and prints at the moment. BB has a different skin tone and hair colour to Lamb and he really suits monochrome, whereas Lamb really suits bright colours. I’m trying to be strict on what I buy Lamb and make sure it’s something I would put BB in when he’s older. One pro of having 2 boys!
So here’s what I bought:
- Zig Zag joggers – H&M – current season.
- Grey trousers – TU at Sainsburys – current season.
- Selection of baby clothes from H&M – all current season.
- Numbers leggings – Tobias & The Bear – sale.
- Selection of young boy clothes from Bluezoo (Debenhams) – sale (apart form the monkey t-shirt which was new).
- Baby boy clothes from Next – all new season.
- Zip sleepsuits – Mamas & Papas – new season.
- Baby outfit – F&F (Tesco) – new season.
I can’t remember how much things cost as I’ve been buying bits for a few weeks, but everything was pretty reasonable.
I’ve also bought some gorgeous bits from Zara which I will share in a separate haul post soon.
