A few weeks ago I was sent the OXO tot Perch Booster Seat to review with Lamb. We stopped using a highchair a while ago (he’s 3 years old), but there are some occasions where we need to strap him in or give him a little boost at the table, so I was happy to test this out with him.
As we live in a small house I love products that fold away or are compact. The OXO tot Perch Booster seat does exactly this as you can see above. It can also be carried easily so if you wanted to take it to a restaurant it wouldn’t be a hassle getting it there.
Attaching the perch booster seat to a chair is really easy. There’s a strap that goes around the back of the chair and one that goes under the seat. If you look at the photos below you can see you simply unlock the latch, pull the straps until they are tight and securely fastened to the chair, then lock the latch again. There are pictures to instruct you.
Overall we are really impressed with the OXO tot Perch Booster seat for Lamb. With the constant encouragement to get him to sit at the table with us at meal times (which he hates to do due to his anxiety towards food), having a secure booster that is spacious and not too restricting is ideal and doesn’t seem to bother him.
The OXO Tot Perch Booster Seat retails at £40 and is suitable for ages 15+ months using the 3 point harness. Once your child reaches 3 years (70lbs+) the straps can be removed and they can sit freely on the booster seat. I think we will try this with Lamb next time we use it. The base is a wipeable, soft cushion and can be easily lifted and removed to be cleaned.
