The Gruffalo has been one for Lambs favourite books since just before he was 2. He has all of the soft toys, both books and both DVDs which his Bambar kindly bought him for Christmas a couple of years ago. He’s now discovered Stick Man
and has fallen in love with it just like he did with The Gruffalo
and The Gruffalo’s Child
.
Yesterday we took Lamb on the Gruffalo Trail in Thornton Country Park. We also went on Good Friday and had such lovely time we decided to take Grandma and Grandpops yesterday for a family day out.
With his Gruffalo trail map in hand Lamb led the way around the woods on the hunt for the characters from the story…
If you have a Gruffalo fan in your house I highly recommend finding a Gruffalo trail near to you (I’m pretty sure there are a couple dotted around).

Aw what a lovely and fun day out. We did the Gruffalo Trail when Archie was much younger so definitely need to go again! x
Noah used to love the Gruffalo, he was obsessed with it! I’ve never looked to see if there’s a Gruffalo trail near us though x
O really likes the Gruffalo too. It’s such a fabulous character and story. We have a Gruffalo Trail at a local forest and O loves following it along and pointing out the characters as we progress.
Our nearest gruffalo trail is literally 10 minutes down the road and my son loves it! He is Gruffalo mad and I know I can reel off the whole book in my head haha! H x
I need to see if there is a trail near me – my son loves the gruffalo too!
Such great books aren’t they! I love Room on the Broom too – written by the same authors x
We’ve never got into the Gruffalo but I always see the merchandise everywhere! I might have to get the book to see what it’s all about! X
Aww what gorgeous photos! My girls have never seen gruffalo before to like him, but they do have a few books!
I’m a big fan of the gruffalo! It’s a great book 🙂
