Just before Christmas Lamb was sent the Fire Station activity book as part of the Parragon Book Buddies. We decided, as it was so close to Christmas, we shouldn’t be giving him new things and to wrap it up and put under the tree.
Lamb is pretty obsessed with fire engines at the moment and has a huge love for Fireman Sam (as did his mummy when she was little!) so when he opened his book he was obviously pretty excited.
Whats great about activity books is the interaction. Daddy helped Lamb put together the fire engine and fire station and they spent some real quality time together figuring out how to put together the pieces.
As you can see from the pictures, the activity book comes with some easy to follow instructions, so you can guide your little one through the task.
If I’m honest the fire engine didn’t stay together completely and the back of the engine spent most of the time undone. This had no effect on the fun Lamb had when playing with it, although my son is quite particular about things (and a bit of a perfectionist like his mum) so kept asking us to fix it. Only for it to come undone again. Nothing a bit of glue won’t fix!
Overall we really like this activity book and think it would make a lovely gift for someone.
What books are your little ones loving at the moment?
