I was introduced to the Chicco Play Gym Nido Easy Carry by my sister-in-law, who recommended it for days out. I am so glad we invested in this product, she was totally right, it was perfect for trips to the park or beach. With a carry handle, and easy to fold away, I could hang this from the stroller when taking Little Lamb out for the day.

The mat has a number of positions. It can be completely open and flat, with no toy arch. You can then put the arch up for baby to play with, and finally there is a mesh shade that fastens over the toy arch, so your baby is shaded from the sun when playing outside. This was certainly one of the selling points for me, as I knew Jaxson would be outside a lot when the weather warmed up!
We didn’t only use the mat outdoors, but also when we visited friends and family. The hanging toys, flashing light and music kept Jaxson entertained when I needed 10 minutes to myself.
As we only have a small house, we found this useful for Jaxson right up until he was sitting up by himself. He started off laying on his back looking at the lights, as he got older he started reaching for the hanging toys, then with a cushion enjoyed tummy time on his mat. Then when he could sit up, he sat on the mat banging the light and hitting the toys! Which was really funny to watch!
Once he out grew the Chicco Travel Cuddler & Gym, we invested in a much larger floor mat for him to roll around on, but we were extremely happy with how long we used the travel gym for.
