Recent events have made me think about life with Little Lamb. How important is it to capture those special moments, or for that matter any moment?
I often hear people say taking too many photos or videos of your children takes the sentiment away, and parents are spending too much time behind a lens. Well, I disagree.
Life is short, and personally, I want to document as much of it as I can.
When I was growing up there were no video cameras, no smart phones, no internet. Not when I was very young anyway. We have one home video of me and my brothers, just one. That’s it.
I wish there were more. I wish I could see what I was like as a baby, toddler, small person, little lady. I can only go by what I see in photographs and what my family tell me.
It’s 2015 and we have the opportunity to document and share the lives of our loved ones.
I don’t own a video camera, everything I capture is on my iPhone, which is fine for everyday life, but sometimes we need to capture something that little bit extra special. Christmas, weddings, holidays, even births.
For us, I think it’s time we invested in something a little more high quality. There are some fab Panasonic camcorders available, and I definitely want to save up for a family camcorder. Nothing too big, something compact and easily transportable, but something that will give us the best quality.
I would hate to look back on Little Lamb’s life growing up and only have one home video.
What are your thoughts on filming/photographing everything?

I often have a camera in my hand and always have one with me. I don’t want any of those moments to pass me by without documenting them x
