As we are approaching Halloween I thought I would write a quick post about dressing Lamb & Bear up for Halloween. Vicky and I both agree they are too young for trick or treating. Although how cute would it be walking them around our village as teeny tiny monsters!
We still want to get into the spirit of Halloween, even if we don’t go anywhere with them. Last year I bought them both matching ghost print onesies from H&M. I also bought Lamb a Halloween bib to wear on the day.
I really don’t think there is any need to spend loads on Halloween outfits, unless you are going to a fancy dress party or your children are a little older and really love the dressing up part. There are cheaper ways of putting your little one in a scary costume.
Personally, I love H&M for cheap Halloween clothes. I’ve had a little browse of their website and found some bargains which could be the perfect solution for your little ones costume. As Lamb is 18 months (almost 19 months), he still fits into the baby clothes in H&M as they go up to 24 months. The toddler section starts at 18 months, so we also buy from there. We have loads to choose from!
H&M Baby Range
I absolutely love this onesie! This is the perfect example of a cheap and easy Halloween outfit for Lamb & Bear! I’ve got a feeling they will be matching in this onesie this year 😉
Why not buy a simple long sleeve t-shirt like the ones above? At only £4.99 they are an absolute bargain. Team them with black trousers and a cape (which could be made from a scrap piece of black fabric, or even a piece of a black bin liner!) for a subtly scary costume for your little one.
Finally, why not accessorise with this adorable hat and bib? If you are dressing up a teeny tiny bubba, these might be all you need this Halloween? Just chuck on a black sleep suit and add this hat and bib for a Halloween twist! Only £2.99 each.
H&M Toddler Range
These are amazing! Ok, so they are technically pyjamas, but for £7.99 are so worth getting as a Halloween costume! Why not team them with these gloves to finish off the look. They are only £2.99!
I’m suddenly wanting to dress Lamb up as a skeleton!
Once again, there are some amazing value long sleeve t-shirts in the toddler range. For only £3.99 you can put your little one in one of these tops and dress in all black, maybe with a little face paint, to finish off their costume.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my cheap and easy Halloween costume post. Are your little ones dressing up this year?
We can’t wait to see all the Halloween photos in a couple of weeks! Don’t eat too many sweets!

such a good idea to take a top and dress it with a cape and plain trousers – inspirational!
Think we must have a similar sage gap? I have 15.5 months between mine – love the pics of them both together 🙂
Ha thanks! I love to be inspiring! 🙂 There’s only 5 months between Lamb & Bear (they are friends, not siblings btw 😉 ) xx
Oh wow! How cute are these! I love a Halloween outfit, fancy dress or not!
Thanks for linking up to #ToddlerApprovedTuesday, and can I apologise for not commenting sooner. Hope to see you link up this week over with myself at 3princessesand1dude.blogspot.co.uk
Loving tops. Very cheap and easy. Great idea to team with black bottoms. Certainly beats what I did with my eldest I always brought a dress in about one size up. One year it’s a full length witch dress, the next its the right size – Tar-dah two uses for the price of one. Thanks for this, as my sure start is having a baby halloween group, was stuck for ideas now I’m sorted. x
Laura I’m so glad you’ve found this post useful! People can end up spending way too much on Halloween outfits if they don’t look in the right places! Hope you enjoy your Halloween baby group. Send us photos! Xx
I love these!!! So cute. Thanks for linking up #toddlerapprovedtuesday
HOW cute?! Love those costumes Alex. I entertained at many Halloween parties when I was doing my children’s parties years ago. Such fun! Children love being little monsters. Haha. (in more ways that one! 😉
Have fun on the night.
Ha! They certainly do! Thank you, hope you enjoy Halloween too xx
I keep sweets by the door and I make them entertain me first. Am soooo mean. 😉
(Actually, I just like laughing at their antics. They get SO into the spirit of it all!) xx
