Summer is fast approaching, so what better way to prepare for the warmer weather and positive vibes than by creating your summer playlist?
It’s never too early to start putting a playlist together. Below you’ll discover the best advice for creating the perfect summer playlist.
I’ll be putting something together for sure, my other half is so bad at having the same song on repeat – he drives me mad!
Mix up the old and the new
When creating your summer playlist, you’ll want to add a mixture of both new and old music. Your playlist should be at least three hours long so if you only add music you already know, you could find yourself getting pretty bored of your selection after a few days!
There are so many ways to discover new music. You could go on sites such as YouTube, or check out recommended summer song lists which have been put together. You’ll enjoy your summer playlist so much more if you have a mixture of songs you know and love, along with new songs you’ve yet to discover.
Consider a turntable for a truly awesome sound experience
If you want to get the best experience from your summer playlist, you might want to enlist the help of a turntable!
Turntables are making a real comeback lately and it’s not hard to see why. They’re especially great for summer parties, letting your inner DJ run wild. Plus, it gives you a chance to dig out those old vinyl’s you have lying around.
We grew up listening to my dads vinyls and I even had some of my own! Kylie Minogue singles which I hope my dad still has tucked away somewhere!
Don’t forget the slower summer tunes
When creating your playlist, you’ll probably be focusing more upon fast, upbeat tunes. However, what about those lazy summer evenings? Make sure you add a few slower summer songs onto the list.
It’s when the sun goes down that the summer can turn magical. Music is an awesome way to enhance the summer magic feel. So, stick on those lazy slower summer tunes, lay back and let all of your stress and worries disappear!
(If the kids ever go to bed!)
The above are just a few tips to help you create your summer playlist. The most important thing to remember is to ensure you’re making the list your own! It has to consist of songs you know and love. Obviously, you’ll want to consider your guests if you’re putting the playlist together for a party. However, always ensure it fits your own personal style and preferences too.
