There’s a lot going behind the scenes of Lamb & Bear at the moment and things are changing. I’m working terribly hard to grow my business and bring sales in so I can expand and grow. Honestly, it’s relentless and overwhelming. I’d go as far as saying it’s borderline impossible.
But the thing is not only am I passionate and ambitious, I’m stubborn. Really, really stubborn.
And I want to make this work.
Right now I’m a busy little bee planning and designing lots of new and exciting product for my small biz.
Lamb & Bear Wear has done me proud for the last 2 years, but it’s time for a change.
And that change is a new brand.
Yep you read it right. Lamb & Bear Wear will be getting a new name, a new website (eventually) and a shiny new logo!
I am so, so excited to launch the re-brand, but equally I’m absolutely terrified. Working alone, from home, a couple of days a week, doesn’t really give you the best start. I’m restricted to how much promo I can do, how active I can be on social media, how much I can do to drive the sales my way.
Without sales, there’s no point to this really.
But I won’t give up. I believe in myself and what I do (well, at the moment anyway!)
The product itself won’t change too much. I’ll still be offering 100% cotton printed leggings along with other products. My production has moved to the UK (which is super exciting) so a proportion of what I sell will be 100% British. The rest will at least be hand finished in the UK.
The reason I’m evolving my brand is because I feel like I have evolved and grown as a designer, mum, person myself, and with that my ‘job’ needs to reflect this.
I won’t be blogging forever. But now Lamb is in school, my blog will change to reduce how much I share about the boys. I thoroughly enjoy writing about more lifestyle subjects like home and beauty, and less about lego and juice cups.
Of course, I will blog about family life and share reviews etc, but the blog itself will become more lifestyle and family will be a category within that.
This natural progression got me thinking about my brand. Lamb & Bear just didn’t feel like the right brand name for womenswear. It has proudly been the name of my parenting blog for over 4 years and my children’s clothing brand for over 2 years, and as much as I love it, it just doesn’t feel like ‘me’ anymore.
So it’s time for a change. An exciting change.
I won’t share the new brand name with you all now, I’ll save it for the launch. Hopefully that makes it more exciting!
My brand will cover the whole family from now one. Mum, dad, kids and home.
My brain is buzzing with ideas and aI have to stop myself going crazy with ordering samples and actually look at the range on the whole.
I’m going to take this opportunity to offer a wider variety of products to allow my customer to really buy into my brand. To become true fans.
You’ve all had a hint of whats to come with my new women slogan sweatshirts, and I’m overwhelmed with the positive reaction.
Please keep buying so I can keep growing!
Last year I found growing my brand and making sales MUCH easier, but this year it’s been pretty much impossible.
Once the new brand launches I will be putting most of my efforts into growing the business and getting my name out there. You may find I’m a little quiet on here while I get things going.
As always I’m forever grateful to any of you who buy, share or like my products and social pages. If you know anyone who might like my range please do tag them on my Facebook or Instagram posts, or share my page. This few seconds of clicking can make a world of difference to my little business.
The new brand won’t bear launching until next month (as long as we keep on track) so keep awn eye out for the date of my social media launch party.
I’m giving my all to the brand, so I’ve got everything crossed I can make it successful.
I don’t want to let me family down who have supported me so much over the last few years.
Let’s hope you’ll be seeing more of my brand around in the near future!
This is so exciting – I can’t wait to see the new brand!
This is all so exciting. I’ve loved seeing your slogan tees and I cannot wait to see what happens with your brand over the coming months. All the hard work will definitely pay off and I really hope you get to step back and have some time off very soon, with a buzzing, beautiful business at the tip of your hands. 🙂
Oh how exciting! Sometimes it’s just great to re-evaluate and shake things up. Good to focus on what you want and change things to help achieve that. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the launch
Good luck with the re-branding! How exciting to move production to the UK. Now my kids are school age I also feel my blog has moved more away from them and more about me.
Sounds really exciting and like your brain is full of ideas! Can’t wait to hear more!
