Lamb was recently sent a bundle of goodies from the new Hatchimals CollEGGtibles to try out and review. It’s safe to say he was hugely EGGcited!
He’s been asking me to buy him Hatchimals for months. Every time he sees them it’s “mummy I really want one of those!” Well kid, eat your heart out!
When we try new products like these I’m always a bit skeptical whether they will be any good. There’s a few collecting type toys he already has lots of so does he need anymore?
Well apparently he does! Because he absolutely love Hatchimals… however my bank balance isn’t so sure! Ha.
The brand new season 3 theme is “Hatch Friends Forever” and each new Hatchimals CollEGGtibles has a best friend, a squad or a twin. If you’re lucky to hatch a pair of best friends you can put them in special poses, like piggybacks or Hatch-fives. Even more exciting you might hatch twins and find two Hatchimals in one egg! Lamb was SO excited when he hatched his first set of twins!
We began the testing with the individual blind bag (RRP £2.99). Lamb ripped open the bag and hatched his first collectable friend! So the obsession begins…
The little yellow eggs are speckled with pastel colours, each colour signifiying where in Hatchtopia your Hatchimal lives. You won’t know exactly which creature is inside though until the egg hatches.
His favourite item from the bundle was the one dozen egg carton (RRP £24.99). He absolutely loved having the egg carton to keep all of his Hatchimals in once he had hatched them. With over 100 friends to collect having somewhere to store them is super useful!
As with anything Lamb collects, he loves having a check list to tick. We were really please to fins a checklist with most of the products we received. (I think the only pack without a checklist was the blind bag). Lamb looked over his list each time he hatched a new friend and ticked it.
With over 100 new friends to collect it’s going to be a while before we complete the set!
