I’m writing this post for my lovely followers who may not know what the MADS and BiBS are, because I know not all of my readers are bloggers themselves.
As a blogger I’m signed up to a number of blogging communities, one being Tots100 and one being Brit Mums.
Through these communities we are given opportunities, exposure, support and much more. TOTS100 even rank their bloggers and currently I’m ranked 274th out of over 8000 registered blogs (someone even told me it was more like 10000!) I never in a million years though I would reach the top 500, let alone almost the top 250 (this is my goal for the next update)
As you may know last year was pretty crappy for me and my family. Car crash, redundancy, my beloved Gruffalo dying and multiple expensive items packing in (washing machine, tumble dryer, car clutch!) Blogging became my safety net and after losing my job (whilst 3 months pregnant) I decided to stick at it and become a full time (ish) blogger.
In the time since I left my job at the end of last year I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my blog overall. Higher rates of interactions, social media following, opportunities etc, and it’s made me realise I might actually be pretty good at this!
Blogging is more than a hobby now, it’s my career path, a path I want to keep going down in the hope one I become a professional blogger. With that in mind I’d love if you could show your support for me and my little online space and nominate me in the MADS Awards (Mummy & Daddy), and the BiBs Awards (Brilliance in blogging).
Let’s start with the BiBs Awards with BritMums. There are multiple categories and you are welcome to nominate whoever you choose in whichever category you feel they are most suited to.
If you are kind enough to nominate me, personally I feel I am most suited to to the Family or Readers Choice Awards (the readers choice is a general award for a blog that covers a bit of everything and you just love their blog overall).
I am not eligible for the Fresh Voice award as I have been blogging for too long.
If you want to nominate me (or any other blogger you love to read) you can do so here.
You will need the following details which you can just copy and paste into the nomination form.
Blog Name: Lamb & Bear
Blog URL: https://www.lambandbear.co.uk
Bloggers’s Twitter ID: @lambandbear
Bloggers Email: lambandbearblog@gmail.com
Next up are the MADS Awards with Tots100. For these awards you have to nominate a Blog of The Year before you can nominate in the other categories. I don’t expect to win blog of the year at all, there a hundreds of bloggers much bigger an better than me, but if you don’t know who else to nominate then you will have to nominate me for Blog of The Year to proceed.
I think my blog is most suited to the Best Pregnancy Award as I’ve been documenting my pregnancy with baby number 2, Best Pre-School Award if you enjoy reading about Lamb, or Best Lifestyle Award for everything else, but of course you are welcome to nominate me in whichever category you feel I’m most suited to.
I am not eligible for the Best New Blog Award as I’ve been blogging for too long.
If you want to nominate me in the MADS awards you can do so here.
I have yet to make my nominations but will be doing so very soon and I’ll be nominating the blogs I genuinely love to read (not just myself 😉 )
Thank you for taking the time to read through how to nominate for the blogging awards. Us bloggers put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into what we do and our blogs become a very important part of our lives, so to be shown a little love with these awards really gives us the little pat on the back we deserve.
Good luck to all of my blogging buddies!
Ax
