Octonauts Octopod Playset Review

A few weeks ago Lamb was sent The Octonauts Octopod Playset from Fisher-Price. We’ve spent some time testing it out and here’s what we think!

We started by taking all of the pieces out of the box, which were conveniently bagged so you couldn’t lose any (Lamb likes to tip everything out at once, which can result in small pieces disappearing!)

There was an instruction leaflet and a sheet of stickers for the Octopod.

I began by putting all on the stickers on the octopod. This is really easy to do as everything is marked to show you which sticker goes where. The long stickers were a little tricky to do, but it doesn’t really matter if it’s not perfect!

Putting the Octopod Playset together was really easy. The pieces simply clicked together and you’re ready to play!

As part of the playset you get 2 Octonauts figures. These include Captain Barnacles and Kwazii. So it’s no surprise Lamb got excited when they were on the TV together!

You also get 3 sea creatures and 4 rescue tools which hang from each pod. You can use the rescue tool to lift up and help to creatures to the Octopod so Captain Barnacles and Kwazii can help them. There’s also a mini gup-A for Kwazii to slide out of the Octopod to help the creatures.

Lamb absolutely loves his Octopod Playset. He’s at the age where he can sit and play by himself and actually talks to his toys and makes up stories. It’s so lovely to watch! He particularly likes the launch bay (slide) and loves pushing the Octonauts down to save the creatures.

It’s seems Lamb loves his Octopod Playset so much he absolutely insisted on taking it in the bath with him! Why not? The sea creatures live in water after all!

If you’ve got a child thats a fan of the Octonauts I highly recommend octonauts toys. The Octopod Playset isn’t the smallest of toys, but the size is easily manageable and perfect for even 2 little ones to play with together!
