Ohh it’s that time again. We do love a bit of those slumber hero’s over here at Lamb & Bear. Can you guess it, these crime fighting bedtime crusaders have stolen our hearts. Yep yep it’s a PJ Masks toy review!!
It’s no secret here that we will shout it’s praises. PJ Masks is the cutest television programme that all of our kids can gather around to watch, which when you have a age range of two to seven it can be a Netflix nightmare. But alas we are always happy to tune in to our favourites Catboy, Owlette and Gekko!
So what else can increase our enthusiasm for these characters other than having a first hand play with its new range of vehicle toys!
We are so excited as we have been given the pleasure to receive all you can want for a special PJ Masks race day!! We’re talking the whole shebang, four vehicles for our crime fighting kiddos, racing track, flags, medals and trophy!! We even made the most of the packaging by dressing the kids in paper tissue capes!
So let’s get to the toys themselves. Luckily we were gifted four so there was no squabbling over characters, a relief for us! The individual PJ Masks vehicle & figure sets; Owlette and her glider, Gekko and the Gekko mobile, Ninja and the Night Ninja bus ( retailing at £13.99). And a further super moon space rover motocycle with Catboy to complete the set (£9.99).
Our kids were practically gnawing at the packaging to release the fun, and with a little adult supervision (scissors were needed), they were finally free to emulate what they’d seen on the screens. To be completely honest I rely quite a lot on screen time to calm my kids (bad mum!) So knowing that they get to release their imaginations with heroic characters that they can copy and recreate stories in a wider world is just perfect for an always busy family.
For us parents we loved the fact that the characters actually sat in the cars without falling out. They are secure enough so toddlers don’t come crying every time one tumbles over. And they have giant wheels to stabilise them from toppling over, which apparently is worth tantruming over to our little ones!
As for the kids they were blown away with each toy. Though there was definitely no sharing in place, each kid had chosen theirs and nothing could come between them! Of course identifying each with its colour theme and exact replicas of what they knew and loved.
So race time – now this was tricky. Four kids with different sets of rules, and start times, what could go wrong? Haha. In all honesty we didn’t focus so much on the competition but rather the kids having fun, with each getting their own time on the road! With plenty of victories awarded to who went to fastest, who came closest to the finish mark and who just showed up! Despite the kids being tired from school they soon perked up and saw it through for our dusk racing. Followed by a pizza party accompanied by their new best friends, Catboy, Owlette, Gekko and Night Ninja!
We are so excited to join @ukmumstv for the #PJMasksRaceDay on 20th Feb! Grab your PJ Masks vehicles and gear up to join in the fun between 1-2pm!
