We kicked things off with some fun and colourful foam stickers on shiny blue card. Pretty simple crafting but Lamb loved it! Nothing more exciting than some stickers to a 2 year old!
We also made some window art, which is now taking pride of place on our kitchen window!
Here’s Lamb’s finished product…
After using sand colour paint to cover the card (and the carpet!) I gave Lamb the Blu Tack glue stick to stick the wooden shapes to his picture. This glue stick is great for kids, because it goes on blue so you can see exactly where they have put it! But dries clear, so you have to be quick to wipe it up if they go a bit mad! 😉
We then used some blue glitter to decorate the picture. Lamb loved this part, plenty of glue and plenty of glitter, in fact, all of the glitter, everywhere. Luckily Mummy Lamb had the hoover handy!
Finally we had some fun drawing around Lamb’s hands to create a crab picture. This is pretty self explanatory so I’ll show you with photos…
After drawing around both of Lambs hands and colouring them in with red glitter, I cut them out and stuck them onto a piece of colourful card. We had a couple of plastic eyes left from Januarys craft box (yes, I’ve been keeping everything left over to use again) to finish off the crab picture.
As you can see he’s pretty impressed with his glittery hands!
Using such simple supplies you can create many different pieces of art with your little ones. Cheap and cheerful products, usually available in your local supermarket, can give you hours of crafty fun.
