With my hen party exactly a week away I’ve been getting more and more excited. However, the more excited I get the more sad I feel about those who can’t make it. One person in particular being my sister in law to be, my best friend and my bridesmaid Alice, who has been living in Australia for 2 years and is coming home after the hen party.
Well, that was until a couple of hours ago when I had the surprise of my life!
Like most weekends we arranged to go to Joes parents for dinner and stay the night with Little Lamb. Around 10 minutes after arriving Alice Skyped us ‘from Australia’. We spent five minutes comparing our teeth (we are both having Invisalign treatment) and then suddenly she said “say hi to my friend.” At which point my husband to be appeared on the screen and said “g’day mate!”.
My face dropped. How was Joe with Alice?! I ran around the house shouting “where is she?!”. We met on the stairs, I was in tears, her knees shaking.
My family and friends had pulled off the biggest surprise of my life, have worked hard to make my hen party the best it can be and have made me a very, very happy bride to be… And I haven’t even had my hen party yet!
Well girls, you’ve set the bar high… 😉

Wow, what a lovely surprise!! I have a sister in Aus and know how amazing it is to have them around on special occasions- she flew back the night I had Archie, she was coming for a holiday around my due date and he was born early so got to see him the whole time she was here. Have a lovely hen do xxx
Wow that was lucky! She’s so lucky she met him so young. My sis in law didn’t meet Lamb until he was 9 months old. This is the second time she’s seen him and he’s now 20 months old. He knows her like she’s always been here though because we always Skype and show him photos. I’m so excited she’s coming on my hen. Means so much to me xxx
What a fab surprise! Bet you were absolutely thrilled!! I was a surprise bridesmaid for a friend in Aus and turned up two days before her wedding, she got the shock of her life too, bit was amazing 🙂 #SundayStars
