It’s 3 weeks until my 29th birthday and people are asking what I want. Don’t you find the older you get, the harder it is to give people present ideas? Having a child means all my focus is on him, and I totally forget about myself and the fact I have a birthday too!
I don’t want much. I’m sure other mums will agree time is the perfect gift! Afternoon tea somewhere, a shopping trip, a day of pampering. Anything like that would be appreciated by any mum.
But some people like to buy gifts, so here’s a wishlist of things I would love for my birthday, and it might give you ideas if you need to buy a gift for someone special soon.
1. I reeeeeeeeally want these amazing Vans in Liberty Wonderland. We all love Disney right? So who wouldn’t want to wear Disney trainers? Especially Alice in Wonderland ones!! You can also get Little Mermaid ones which are literally the best thing i’ve ever seen; of course they are sold out everywhere.
2. Perfume. My fave is Lancome La Vie Est Belle . It’s fruity and sweet and smells amazing. This is a very special perfume to me as it’s what I wore on my wedding day. Expensive, so only something I have if I get it for a gift.
3. I really need some new straighteners so these would be a useful birthday present from someone. You never know, I might be lucky enough to get these gorgeous rose gold GHD’s… A girl can wish.
4. I always ask for MAC make up. I can never have enough. No girl can. If you aren’t sure what to buy, take a sneaky look at your girlfriend/wife/friend/mums make up bag to see what she uses, or pop into your local make up counter and see what they suggest.
MAC is expensive, so you don’t want to waste your money if she doesn’t like what you buy. If you really don’t know what to buy you can always get a voucher.
5. Ok so I saw this at the cinema, but I’m just curious to see what the ‘unseen’ bits on the DVD are… 😉
I own all of the books, so I might as well own the DVD too, right?
Admit it, you want to see it too 😉
6. The life house Spa is really close to where I love, so it’s the perfect place to go for a mummy day off. They do some great mid-week packages including the Love Life Spa Day which would be an amazing birthday present.
7. The closer I get to 30 the more wrinkles I’m noticing on my face. Most people tell me I’m mad, but I really do have them and as the hubby won’t let me have botox I need to start using decent skincare products. I’ve never used it before, but I’ve heard amazing things about Elizabeth Arden produ
cts, so something like the 8 hour skin cream would be perfect.
8. OMG I stumbled across this amazing blogger planner on social media from thebloggersplanner.com. I. NEED. THIS. For 2016 obviously.
9. This isn’t released until the 21st of September, 5 days after my birthday. But a pre-order would work! 😉 I literally laughed out loud watching this at the cinema. One particular part made me cry with laughter. If you haven’t see the Pitch Perfect movies yet, you’re nuts.
10. Last but not least, buy me vouchers. I’m skint so can’t afford to shop (which kills me), so vouchers will give me the opportunity to fill up my wardrobe with some desperately needed items. Topshop. H&M. Zara. ASOS. Debenhams. Any of those will do 😉
Other than the usual bath stuff, pjs and slippers, I think I’d be happy if I got just one thing off my birthday wishlist. And if I don’t get one, there’s always Christmas!
