My Autumn wardrobe desperately needs updating and I’ve found myself browsing the new arrivals at Next. The colours and textures of this season have to be my favourite and I do get quite excited at the thought of getting my chunky bobble hat out of the wardrobe.
Since having kids I think my fashion sense has slipped. Working as a fashion designer for several years, the outfits I put together were usually well thought out. But now I find myself in jeggings and sweatshirts. Which is fine, but I’d like to throw a bit more style and colour into my wardrobe again.
My favourite thing to wear when it’s cold is a chunky jumper or cardigan. Cable knit is an old fashioned gem.
There’s some lovely chunky knitwear in Next at the moment and I’ve picked out my favourites below, along with some items to go with them.
When I was at university I worked part time at Next for a couple of years. I wore their clothes for my uniform, but rarely bought their casual clothes. As I’ve got older I’ve certainly found a new love for the store and I think it’s down to my taste maturing.
I actually find myself wearing a full outfit of next clothing sometimes, I must shop there more than I realise!
The boys have a lot of clothes from there too. I really rate their kids department. The quality is great, the price is reasonable and they have really started to offer a great range for boys. Not just boats and dinosaurs.
The pieces I’ve picked out here is just a small selection of what I’ve got my eye on. I’ll certainly be putting some on my Christmas wish list.
What’s your favourite piece from what I’ve featured?
