Last year was one of my most successful blogging years to date. You may remember I was a finalist for Best Family Blog in the Britmums Brilliance In Blogging Awards and I was up against some amazing blogs. I knew I wouldn’t win, but the fact I was nominated, then shortlisted, then a finalist was so overwhelming and something I’m incredibly proud of.
Well, nominations are open for this year, and I’d love your vote!
I wasn’t sure whether to write this post. I know a lot of bloggers see it as begging, but in my opinion if I don’t inform my readers about the awards, how will they know about them??
Even if you don’t vote for me, to some bloggers the awards are recognition of their hard work, so giving them a nomination is like giving them a pat on the back. And we all deserve one of those every now and then don’t we!
Although I haven’t been as active on my blog this year, I have been active on social media and trying to keep you all updated on there. We all know my little cub is a handful and has been on the move from a very young age. Oh, and we all remember he didn’t nap properly until he was about 8 months old right?
*yawn*
I’ve done my best to keep up with all of the responsibilities I’ve taken on. I hope you’re all still enjoying reading my blog and following our updates. Even after a rough patch with a particular follower who said something incredibly vile to me (she was reported to the police and this is why I now suffer with anxiety), I’m still passionate about what I do, albeit a little more wary.
I never in a million years expected to be a finalist last year, I truly mean that, so who knows, maybe I can actually go on to win this year?!
