Can you believe it’s almost December?! It’s time for me to start looking for a Christmas gift for the men in my life, but I always struggle to buy for guys!
My husband in particular is difficult to buy for because he doesn’t really want ‘stuff’.
I’ve had a little browse and found a few bits that might inspire you for Christmas gifts for guys this year.
Technology is always a good choice for a Christmas gift. What about a new Kindle or Fire Stick? We have both and the whole family use them.
A Kindle is great for long journeys so if you know someone who travels a lot this could be the perfect gift for them.
My husband is really into sports. He plays football and enjoys going to the gym, so sports clothing is always a good choice (even though he has so much of it!) Or perhaps you know someone who plays golf or tennis regularly. A pair of Footjoy golf shoes from Function 18 could be a good idea.
Have a think about movies or music they love and have a look for some merchandise they might like; a Star Wars t-shirt or mug. My dad’s favourite band is Kiss, so I always try to find unique Kiss merchandise for him.
Have they got a sweet tooth? My husband gets sweets for Christmas every year because everyone knows he loves them! I love sweets from my childhood like Fruit Salad and Double Dips. This box of ‘retro’ sweets is a perfect gift for a sweetie fan.
My mum’s fave chocolate is from Hotel Chocolat, so I often treat her to a couple of packets for Christmas or her birthday.
My dad loves toffee so a trip to Thorntons is a good idea for him.
As a family we love playing board games. Articulate is a fave and I’m totally in love with my Friends Monopoly! If the person you’re buying for likes board games why not find a themed Monopoly for them? You can get so many versions, there’s most likely to be one they will love.
Something my other half always needs is a weekend bag. Whenever we go to stay with family he ends up using a carrier bag! I think buying him a decent bag for short trips is a great idea as he will definitely get use out of it when we go away.
What about a Bluetooth speaker? These days most people store music on their phones, so playing it at home or in the garden can be too quiet. We bought something similar to this Bluetooth clock radio for my father-in-law and he really likes it. If the CD player does not get used anymore, then a Bluetooth speaker could be really useful.
So there’s a few ideas for gifts for the guys you need to buy for. I hope this inspires you!
