If you don’t know who or what Vampirina is, you better check yourself and turn on Disney Junior right now. This ghoulish girl is the title character, packing up her Transylvania ways and heading across the pond to Pennsylvania. My daughter, son and pretty much anyone who glances at the tv in my household is hooked. Not only is it quaint and family orientated, it’s really pro girl empowerment, something which is truly needed in today’s environment.
We were sent a huge selection of toys to review, ranging in price, so depending on your price range, there is something for everyone to get involved.
Along with the toys there was a fab selection of goodies to throw our very own Vampirina party. We got colouring packs, games and a craft pack to make Vampirina inspired headgear; think glitter and sequins everywhere!
Usually my kids aren’t so eager to get involved with arts and crafts. I’m the sort of mum who lays each material and pens in separate pots ala pinterest, for the kiddos to just get bored in less time than in took to set up. But alas the want to create a cool wearable piece kept my rugrats more intrigued than ever before, so score one to the mama!
Anyway back to the toy review!

The pièce de résistance was the Vampirina Scare B&B playset. This three floored house is similar to a miniature dollhouse, except it is ghoulish fun, in hues of purples and interactive light up bits! Super cute especially if you have any of the extra toys to add to the play set. The babes can really get imaginative and create stories with charm; just instead of pet dogs, it’s ghosts and werewolves!
We played a memory game, where I placed characters and furniture around. Then let them look attempting to remember each intricacies and then moved them around for them to put back. Just make sure you take a photo of the before- as apparently I haven’t got a memory as good as a four year old!

The toy that my girl was most looking forward to unwrapping was the Vampirina Hauntley’s Mobile Vehicle. Each time she enters a toy shop her little heart is immediately set on this. It features sounds from the tv series playable when hitting the bat shape button on the bonnet.
She loves to put Vampirina at the driving wheel, (although not too sure she’s old enough to drive), and drive along the floor pretending it’s the deserted streets of Transylvania. Then further stuffs the scary accomplices in the boot, no seat belts needed for these ghosts.
She also enjoys setting up races with her Vampirina Spooky Scooter sets, which are available with different characters sold separately. These cute sets comes with an alongside pal who sits comfortably on a pull along, whilst Miss Vamp and her friends ride up front. Pros; this is the only set with sass queen accomplice Gregoria, a true fan needs the whole collection. My only qualm with these sets is the inability to take the helmet and pads off, I know it’s a safety issue, little pieces equals choking hazard, she just loves dressing characters up.
For the ultimate Vampirina loving kid, it’s worth investing in her beloved Vampirina Bootastic Backpack. Complete with bat wing hair clips, cobwebbed glasses, skull amulet and a few other goodies to emulate her look completely. It also comes in handy for storing all the little figures and pieces collected in the other available sets. It being plastic means it’s more of a carry case where bits won’t get squashed, damaged or broke. The singing necklace is pretty much a staple accessory for any of my daughters outfits. You name it, from a posh frock to pyjamas, she’s rocking the amulet.

As someone who hands down loves Halloween and all bits slightly creepy; think more Hocus Pocus rather than Michael Myers, I’m pretty on board with a show about vampires and talking gargoyles! And pretty much each toy available is high quality and indulges that quirk for myself and kiddies!
