So this is the gift guide that will be most relevant to Bear. He’s 18 months old and although he likes playing with his brothers toys, he still enjoys toys aimed at 1 year olds.
We have a few bits for him already which I’ll share in this guide, along with some items we are still planning on buying him.
We’ve always found buying for Lamb pretty easy. Maybe it’s because he’s our first child, and we only had him to think about. However, Bear is proving difficult.
Ok, we could get him ANYTHING with Peppa Pig on it, and he’d be happy. But he doesn’t seem to play with toys as much as Lamb did. So we’re trying to find things that aren’t going to be a waste of money. Things that are age appropriate, but will last. Plus things Lamb will enjoy playing wit too. He’s still a pre-schooler at heart.
Here’s a gift guide with what we have for him so far and what’s on his list to get.
Peppa Pig Inflatable Muddy Puddle*
Want to allow your little ones to ‘jump in muddy puddles’ without actually taking them out in the rain? Then this Peppa Pig Inflatable Muddy Puddle is for you! Bear is going to LOVE playing with this. You can get yourself one from Toys R US for £12.99.

Recycling Truck
We’ve noticed recently that Bear has taken an interest into the recycling truck on a Peppa Pig episode. He points at the telly as soon as he sees it and shouts something in his little language. He’s done this a few times, so we’ve had a look for a recycling truck toy for him. You can’t get an official Peppa Pig one, but I’ve found this wooden one this wooden one from Melissa & Doug. So cute!
Aqua Doodle Doc McStuffins*
We’ve always had Aquadoodles for the boys. Lamb had a classic one when he was younger, and Bear has a Peppa Pig one. This Doc McStuffins one is from PoundToy and we will be giving it to Bears best friend. I’m sure she will love it as much as he loves his Peppa Pig one! These are perfect for his age range as they are mess free!
Dolls Pram
Whenever Bear is playing with his friend or cousin he always wants to play with their dolls pram. He loves pushing it around the house. So we’ve decide to buy him his own pushchair for Christmas. I want a small one that won’t take up too much room, and although I don’t like to gender stereotype, I’d like it to be more unisex and not pink. Because not everyone likes pink!
I’ve found this pram on Amazon for £11.99, which is super reasonable. I love the cow print (quite random) so I think we will get this for him.
Duplo
We don’t actually have any Duplo at home so Grandma and Grandpa’s will be buying him this Duplo Creative Play box for Christmas. I decided to go for this over the other sets simply because he’s too young to really build anything and it comes with storage!
Peppa Pig Bath Toy
As Bear loves having baths I thought it was only right that he owned his own ‘Grandpa’s Boat’! This retails at around £16, so it’s not cheap, but the figures are removable so you can play with them with other toys, and the boat floats!

Foam Cone Factory
We bought this Tomy Foam Cone Factory for Lambs best friend last year and apparently it’s been a big hit! Both the boys love the bath, so although this is suitable from age 1, Lamb would still love to play with this. My only concern is Bear would absolutely eat the foam! HA.
We are HUGE fans of Orchard Toys games. Lamb has been playing with different ones for year and we honestly believe playing these games has helped with his numbers skills. His teachers have said he’s strong with numbers and we’ve played board games with him for a long time. He’s a geek at heart like mummy 🙂 Farmyard Heads & Tails is the perfect game to introduct Bear to learning.
Those are my recommendations for ages 1-2 years. To be honest Lamb would play with everything on this list two, which is great as they can (hopefully) play nicely together.
Happy Shopping!
