Once a child reaches the age of around 3 years old, the amount of things you could buy them as Christmas gifts suddenly gets more exciting.
They probably have defined interests (like Lamb being obsessed with The Avengers), so finding suitable products to give as gifts won’t be a problem.
Today I’m sharing some great products recommended for ages 3+ years (36+ months).
First up is this VTech KidiZoom Duo Camera. We are really considering buying this for Lamb. He absolutely LOVES taking photos and when I’m doing a little shoot for the blog, he always asks if he can take them. The thing is, handing over my Sony A5000 to my 4 year old makes me a little nervous! So I think it’s time he got his own camera.
Between the ages of 2 and 3 Lamb was obsessed with The Gruffalo. We bought him all of the teddies, the books, dads and more. One game he’s always loved playing (in fact we played last night) is The Gruffalo Memory game. We come up with different rules and easy to play and it’s really well worth £3.99! A great game for Bear to engage with too.
If your little one is getting into board games or classic games, then Hungry Hippos is a winner. We bought this for Lamb for his 4th birthday, but he definitely would of loved it at an earlier age. I secretly love playing too!
We were recently sent a Star Wars RC Stormtrooper from Bladez Toys which I have given to my nephew for his birthday (earlier this month). Both my 3 year old niece and 6 year old nephew absolutely love it. This is suitable for ages 3+ years, but by the looks of things it’s loved by all ages.
Pig Goes Pop is one of Lambs favourite games at the moment. He got it for his 4th birthday (I think) and we play it every couple of weeks. It’s a really easy game for the whole family to play. Great for learning numbers, colours, and counting. The age recommendation is 4 years and up, but Lamb could easily play this when he was 3.
Having 2 fussy eaters to deal with, we like to have a lot of food based games and toys around the house, to encourage them to be comfortable around food. Lamb loves playing with pretend food, even at the age of 4 1/2. And Bear LOVES our IKEA kitchen in the garden. Melissa & Doing do a fantastic range of role play style toys, including these Food Group wooden crates.
Having 2 boys who both love Paw Patrol, and who both love cars (or “brum brums”) I know they would LOVE the Paw Patrol Paw Patroller. We had the Seat Patroller but they got bored with it quite easily (I know, crazy right?) so we have given it to my niece who plays with it constantly when she’s here. I think they’d much prefer this as its a big truck rather than a boat. Looking at the price tag, this would be a joint present for both of them to share.I don’t think I’ve come across a child who doesn’t love an electronic cash register. We have been sent this one from TJ Hughes. Although it’s for age 3+ years, Bear will absolutely love this. I’ll hide the coins as he will most definitely try to eat them, but he will love pressing the buttons. This is definitely something Lamb could play with too.
Play-Doh is a bit like marmite right? Kids LOVE it, parents HATE it! HA. But we just can’t help ourselves, and continually buy it for them. I love their new Kitchens Creations range. As I mentioned, IO like have food related toys around of ray fussy eaters, so this range would be perfect for Lamb & Bear. If only they could just stop mixing the colours!
Hopefully this list has given you a little inspiration if you’re struggling for Christmas gifts ideas. I’m going to order the boys some play-doh – I just need to choose which set to get!
