There are certain people I struggle to buy Christmas gifts for. As we don’t have much money we hate buying gifts people might not want. We have to be clever with what we spend our money on.
Last year we put together a hamper for my in-laws 30th wedding anniversary. It was really well received and we felt like we were giving such a thoughtful gift. And we knew everything would be used!
It’s not easy to put hampers together, especially around Christmas time. You may even want to send it directly to the person you’re buying it for. Which would be expensive.
So why not look for somewhere who offers hampers pre-made?
Spicers of Hythe sent me one of their Christmas hampers to review, and it’s definitely something you should consider as a gift for a loved one.
This particular hamper has actually sold out online now (it seems they are selling out of a lot of hampers at the moment!) but there are similar ones available. It retailed around £50 (I can’t quite remember the exact price).
The ‘winter scene’ box is beautifully decorated and certainly well designed as a Christmas gift.
Inside the hamper is a lovely selection of savoury and sweet goods. Luxury products perfect for the festive period.

As you can see the hamper offers everything from luxury mince pies to Christmas pudding fudge. Snacks like crisps and cheddar biscuits to eat in the afternoon. Shortbread and chocolate nuts and raisins for and evening treat.
Underneath the upper layer you will find more yummy treats including Belgian chocolates, jams and wine.

This particular hamper would make the perfect gift for my in-laws. They appreciate good food, wine and love to host a Christmas party.
Offering this as a joint gift to both my mother-in-law and father-in-law would not only give them something a little different to novelty socks, but would make us choosing something for them both much easier.
Spicers of Hythe have a huge selection of hampers available. The prices vary from as little as £20 and there’s something for everyone. Sweets, chocolates, savoury snacks, alcohol.
If you’re struggling to find a gift for someone, then a luxury food hamper may be your solution.
