Halloween Inspired Books For Children

As Lamb seems to be loving Halloween at the moment I thought I’d treat him to a couple of Halloween inspired books. We’re trying to read more with him now he’s in school, so hopefully having some new Halloween books might encourage him to learn a few words.

We first watched Room on the Broom last year and Lamb really enjoyed it. I’m not actually sure if Lamb has this book in his collection, but if he doesn’t he will be buying it for him! We are all huge fans of Julia Donaldson and have lots of her books for the boys.

Lamb really likes the Mr Men books, so I’ve decided to grab him this Mr. Men Halloween Party book to add to his collection.

Bear is really loving books at the moment so this Whoosh! Went The Witch would be perfect for him this Halloween! Not only is this book full of fun from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, but it’s a sound book so perfect for pre-schoolers!

Who doesn’t love a ‘That’s Not My’ book?! Lamb has about 5 and still loves reading them now. We put a couple in Bears bed for times when he refuses to go straight to sleep. We often find him looking through them and keeping himself occupied. If you’re looking for a Halloween book for a 1 year old, That’s Not My Witch would be perfect.

With two Paw Patrol loving children this Pup-Tastic Halloween lift-the-flap book would be very well received in our house! Also being a board book means its Bear friendly.

I’ve never seen this book before but it looks so cute! Being a board book means Ten Little Monsters is perfect for Bear to read, but the detail inside is ideal for Lamb. I’ll definitely be buying this for the boys! It’s also available in paperback for the older kids.

Of course I couldn’t write a Halloween book guide without including Funnybones! Such a classic from my own childhood.

I’m sure you’re all aware of Bears obsession with Peppa Pig now, so I can’t resist buying him Peppa’s Pumpkin Party board book.
