Earlier this year I was contacted by Britax and asked if I wanted to review something from their new ‘Inspired By Nature’ range. I’ve used Britax products a few times and have loved all of them so of course I was happy to work with them on a review. I decided to review the Affinity2 because I’ve tried the Affinity in the past, loved it and thought it would be the perfect pram for my little BB.
As you can see from the title, their new range is inspired by nature. The pushchair and carry cot we were sent is in Ocean Blue and such a gorgeous colour, and the chassis is silver. We’ve had so many compliments on the look/colour of this pram and of course it suits my blue eyed boy. With that in mind we decided to take BB on his first trip in his new pram to our local pond and nature reserve to feed the ducks with his big brother (something he loves doing).

The Affinity2 pushchair is suitable from 6 months – 17kg/3 years, however the separate carry cot or car seat can be attached to the chassis and used from birth.
When BB is big enough we will start using the main pushchair and I’ll write a separate review later in the year, but this review will be with us only using the carrycot which is suitable from birth.
The carry cot has some really great features, is pretty lightweight and super easy to use. It provides a comfortable lay flat position for your baby and attaches directly to the Affinity2 chassis, meaning you don’t require extra adapters.
The base of the carry cot is really soft and cushioned pretty well. BB has always settled really well when I’ve put him in. The cover zips form both sides so you can conveniently get the baby out either side. The hood can be adjusted to different heights by pressing the 2 buttons on either side of the hood (see photo above). Actually the only criticism I have of this pram is I find the hood a little awkward to put up as you have to push the 2 buttons at the same time, but doing that doesn’t give you a spare hand the lift the hood up. This isn’t a big deal, just something I’ve found a little tricky.
I really love the extra part of the hood you can pull out to ensure baby is fully shaded from the sun (see photo above). With the sunny days we’ve been having I’ve found this really useful.
Another great feature of the Affinity2 is the adjustable handle. It can be positioned really low or really high, which means the whole family can have a push! Lamb loves pushing his brother around. The basket is a good size and I have had a fair few successful shopping trips to Aldi without needing to buy carrier bags.
I absolutely love this pram and highly recommend it. It’s really easy to push, even with one hand, which you can’t say for a lot of travel systems/prams. The wheels are really smooth and handle well. I haven’t gone off road yet but I expect it will handle it ok. Collapsing the chassis is so quick and easy. You simply pull the triggers and push down on the frame and it folds together and fold pretty small.
The retail price of the Affinity2 is £465, which is the main pushchair. The carrycot can be purchased separately for £120, as well as the Baby-Safe car seat for £140. For more accessories suitable for this pram and more information head over to the Britax website.

I love the colour, makes such a nice change from the usual black! BB looks nice and comfy in there 🙂
Love the bright blue colour, really striking. I like the extra pull down sun shade on the hood, that’s a great idea to protect babies from the sun. Also a big shopping basket underneath is so important, even if you are not going to the shops, when you have more than one child, the basket soon fills up with toys and so on. x
I love the look of the pushchair, it looks great in blue and silver and it looks really sturdy but comfy too.
It is super sturdy. I really rate Britax products x
This looks like such a great pram i love the color. I think its great that you can buy a carrycot separate so it can be used from birth.
