We’ve got just over a week to go until the big day so I’m putting together some last minute Christmas gift ideas in case you’re still shopping.
All of these can be found on Amazon, so if you have Amazon Prime then fab, if not you can pay for a quick delivery.
Today’s gift ideas are for preschoolers (so appraise 3-4 years), but may be ideal for slightly younger or older, just depends on the child!
First up is The Reward Box. We have actually been sent this to try with Lamb and it’s brilliant. You get a bag of 20 wooden, silver stars to use as the treasure (reward) and a blue wooden treasure chest. You also get a sheet of pirate inspired stickers so it can be decorated as the child wishes.
If you’re looking for an alternative to the traditional reward chart then I definitely recommend this. We have been using it with Lamb for a few months now and it has definitely shown us improvement in his behaviour. Our rule is once he has 5 stars (then 10, 15 and 20) he get stop buy a Mashem (he’s obsessed). If he’s naughty I threaten to take a star out so he has to work harder for that treat. The box is lovely quality and doubles up as a great prop during playtime. There is a choice between a blue pirate chest or pink fairy house.
If you’re child doesn’t have a wooden train set yet, then I highly recommend getting them one this Christmas. Lamb has had one since his 1st Christmas. Obviously he didnt play with it straight away, but from the age of 2 he’s played with it a few times a week. Some weeks every day! What’s great about wooden train sets is the pieces are pretty universal. If you buy from a different brand it will most likely fit what you already have. This Melissa & Doug Classic Train Set is a great place to start.
PlayDoh is such an easy gift to buy any child. Kids love Playdoh! There’s so many branded versions e.g Frozen or Minions. Lamb has all of the Marvel ones and we’ve started buying him the Star Wars ones too. I spotted this new version which is Called PlayDoh Town. This Town Centre would bring any child hours of fun. Just be sure to put a messy may down on the carpet!
We absolutely love Orchard Toys games in our house. Lamb has been playing board games for a while and he’s so patient and plays so well. I really recommend you get some Orchard Toys games for your preschooler if you haven’t already. They are so educational. Lambs favourites are Pizza Pizza, Shopping List, Football Game and Tummy Ache. I think I’ll get his this Christmas Surprises to add to his collection!
Lamb loves dressing up. At the moment his fancy dress box is filled with Avengers characters. Unfortunately he is outgrowing them so I’ll need to buy them all again in the next size.
Melissa and Doug offer a great variety of costumes from a Chef to an Astronaut. The prices are really reasonable too. They are so worth getting if your little one has a lot of birthday parties to go to that are fancy dress!
Last up is Cra-Z Sand. Lamb doesn’t have any but has played with it and loves it. It’s definitely a great alternative to PlayDoh. You can get so many varieties and colours. I genuinely though it would go everywhere, but it really does stick together!!
So there’s a few ideas for last minute gift ideas.
Happy Shopping!
