It’s almost Mother’s Day – what do us mums really want?
Give us vouchers so we can shop. Buy us the perfume we love a lot.
Treat us to lunch so we don’t have to cook. Take the kids out so we can put our feet up.
Splash out and buy us a spa day. Or even stretch to a weekend away.
But remember not everything costs money. Why not make us something funny?
Get the kids to make us a card. Glueing and colouring isn’t so hard.
A photo montage that we can treasure. These are the things we will keep forever.

Love this little poem. My poor mum gets the same stuff every year lol xx
What did you end up with?? I would have just loved some sleep A was up at 5:45 this morning…*cries* A spa week would be ideal too! Happy mothers day you super mum! Thanks for linking up and hope to see you again tomorrow! #MummyMonday xx
Don’t ask!! We stopped at tesco on our way to joes Nan’s this morning where I as bought a card and a doughnut!!! He owes me big time. I was also up early and he stayed on bed! Happy Mother’s Day you fellow super mum!! Xx
aww I’m all for personal presents. love homemade cards. #mummymonday
I love presents that have thought and effort put into them.. Sadly the OH will just buy whatever is in the ”Mother’s Day” section of Tesco I’m sure haha x
Exactly what my OH does. Tesco on the way home from work. For valentines and birthdays too! X
I would adore a home made card if my other half sat and made it with them, the craft usually gets left to me! x
Love this. Home made cards and photo montages are always welcome as is a lovely bit of time to put feet up or a day at a spa 🙂
So true!! It was my first mother’s day last year and my boy bought me an Orla Keily cake-stand ‘from the twins’. On any other day, I would have — and do — love it. But on mother’s day, I wanted something a little more thoughtful!! Even a hand-print on a piece of card would have done the trick!! I was a little bit gutted — and told him as much!! My poor husband — can’t do right for doing wrong!! 😉 #SundayStars

Awwh, such a squishy little poem! I just read it to my boyfriend and he made some sort of grunt, which I think means he liked it. Hard to tell with men…maybe he’s just not letting on. 😉 Handmade gifts are lovely, but having a little treat should not be overlooked! #SundayStars
Ahhh thanks! I love that you described it as squishy – I use that words all the time!
Good food is my weakness! Just a meal where I do not have to do anything, even if its eggs, chips and beans that would be a winner! 😀
Honestly, if the hubby ordered me a dominos and stocked up on diet coke I’d be happy! X
Ah, that’s lovely. It’s the handmade gifts that mean the most – although a spa day would be amazing right now! x
I’m hoping they get the hint to make a card and put a spa day voucher inside!
