While we were in holiday in Dorset we decided it would be the perfect time to take the kids to Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park. The park is closer to Dorset than Essex so a shorter journey!
We arrived at 10 am on a Wednesday, and although there were a lot of people arriving, there was plenty of car parking space. We decided to head straight to Peppa Pig world so the boys could dive right into the rides. I knew it would get busy, so figured we’d do as much as we could before the queues got too big.
As we expected most people headed to see Peppa like us. We managed to go on a handful of rides with the boys before it got too busy. We decided to walk around the rest of the park and head back to Peppa Pig World at the end of the day.Peppa Pig world was pretty impressive. The whole area was clean and well maintained. The rides were well designed and perfect for the whole family (including babies!) If you wanted to, you could spend the whole day there and feel like you’d had a great day out.
I asked Lamb what his favourite ride was and he said George’s Dinosaur ride! I liked the hot air balloon and Bear liked Grandpa Pigs Train!
Not only were there a good selection of rides, you could also visit the big space themed soft play area (which the boys loved). You could grab a coffee/ice cream/snack, or visit the huge Peppa Pig give shop and go mad on merchandise. I normally hate gift shops. But as Bear is obsessed with Peppa, I loved watching his face light up when he was surrounded with toys.
We were really impressed with the rest of the park. I was so surprised to find Lamb was tall enough to go on almost every ride. Unfortunately he was slightly too short for the go karts. He soon got over that when he was driving a jeep and looking for dinosaurs!
I actually thought the big rollercoasters were for adults before we went. I didn’t realise it really was a ‘family’ theme park. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the whole park with Lamb and not have him waiting while mummy went on the crazy rollercoasters!!
At the end of the day we headed back to Peppa Pig world to go on the rides we didn’t go on in the morning. We are so glad we did! By around 4:30pm the park was pretty quiet and we didn’t have to queue for anything. We went on a couple as a family and then I took Lamb on some, while daddy went with Bear.
We have taken Lamb to a couple of theme parks and I have to say, this is the first one we’ve actually stayed at from opening to closing. It wasn’t rushed or overwhelmed with crowds and thoroughly enjoyed our whole day.
If you get bored of the rides there’s a lot of other things to do with the kids. You can take them to the splash park or other parks dotted around. There’s a 4D cinema and of course lots of okapis to find a treat and put your feet up!
We really did have a wonderful day at Paultons Park and we’re very grateful for the opportunity to review our day out.
Will we be going back to Paultons Park?
OF COURSE!!
