I have to say, this is probably one of the boys favourite reviews to be part of so far. Why??
Because they, along with their cousins, were sent a huge bundle of PJ Masks goodies to try out, including the new Super Moon HQ and Rocket!
We’ve been fans of the show for a couple of years now, and my little bear cub is particularly fond of Ghekko.
As part of this review we got to hold a PJ Masks party with my Niece and Nephew, which other than being rather chaotic, was A LOT of fun! But first, let’s review the toys.
I’ve handed the reins over to my sister-in -law for this part, as this was the first time my Niece and Nephew had played with any of the PJ Masks range. So I thought it would be good to get their first impressions of the toys.
Over to Stevie…
Evening all! We may be a bit late to the party but the kids newest obsession is a show called PJ Masks!! I know, I know, probably all kiddos have some kind of sentiment already to these dream team masked hero’s, but we’ve just stumbled upon it on Netflix- shoutout to my bestie for having the entire series ready! We were lucky to be sent a range of the toys to coincide with the kids new craze!
The stand out toy that we were sent was the incredible Super Moon Headquarters these caped friends reside in. Parents rejoice there is no fiddly stickers, an absolute no no for me when it comes to building toys. It’s a multi level building with a few interactive play bits which transform the rooms and act as different scenes for each of the mystery heroes. There is sound elements and moving pieces, each sturdy and have the ability to help the figures move, perfect for recreating the television scenes.
The next biggie toy is the Super Moon Rocket HQ, I’m not quite sure where this is showcased in the series, (perhaps whilst I’m hiding in the kitchen eating chocolate), but my kids assure me it is essential in the story telling of these toys. It comes with it’s very own Gekko on his little motorcycle, which can be stored and released from the base of the rocket.
Let’s not forget the funky sound effects and twinkly lights, making this Rocket even more like the real deal!
The toy itself is well built, and sturdy, employing legs that are removable or slide upwards so the rocket can stream past and land dependant on the story. And parents rejoice again – no stickers!! Seriously you’re going to have to hear me emphasise my love of pre stickers toys.. a lot!!
You’ll find a seat in the cockpit for each of the heroes, who are ready for their next space adventure with their shiny, silver, space helmets!
The Deluxe Figure set features the heroes themselves- Catboy, Gekko and Owlette, praise the creators for including a girl alongside her male counterparts!! Furthermore it’s packed with the villains of the show; Luna girl, Romeo, Night Ninja and stackable Ninjalinos, so we have both sides to recreate battles. Each figure is less than 10 cm, so can be easily transported in little ones bags, and have poseable arms and legs to pose them in each epic crime fighting stance. The kids love this pack purely because it contains both the goodies and baddies so they can play against one another or mix it up.
Whilst it’s advertised as a pre school show, I have both a four year old and almost seven year old (along with Lamb & Bear who are 5 and 2) who adore it; heroes really don’t go out of style! My little boy, the older one, loves the vehicle toys; each character is paired with a special car for racing and crime fighting of course! However my daughter much prefers the accessory set figures. She’s much more into the dressing up element, so these packs have a few pieces which can be removed and placed on as well as separate objects to add to each retelling story. Owlette, her favourite, comes with a removable helmet, backpack and crystal!
In conclusion, each of these toys are perfect in recreating the stories seen upon the screen! They are well built, colourful and perfect for any PJ Masks fan! The show itself exemplifies friendship, bravery and imagination and the toys themselves echo this point, with creativity and play the residual element.
As you can see, these toys were an absolute his with everyone involved in reviewing and taking part in the party. If you want to get your hands on some for yourself they are available in all good toy stores and Amazon and Very.co.uk.
We wil be taking part in the PJ Masks twitter party on the 17th of October between 1-3pm, and would love to see you there! You’ll be able to see what we got up to in our party and find out more about these Super Moon toys!
Make sure you’re using the hashtag #PJMasksToys so we can see your tweets!
