With summer well and truly here it’s time to revamp my wardrobe.
I’ve now lost just over half a stone with Weight Watchers and I’m starting to notice my body changing. My ‘mum tum’ is shrinking (only slightly, but it is!) and my new diet means I’m not bloating as much (something I struggle with).
These gradual ‘improvements’ are slowly bringing my body confidence back and I’m starting to look at fashion like I used to.
Since having my babies my style has changed, pretty dramatically. I’m so much more classic and casual than I was 5 years ago. I used to wear floral dresses and pretty blouses, now I just can’t bring myself to wear things like that anymore. I’m much more jeans and t-shirt kinda gal.
I’ve been browsing online and thinking about the styles I like and what I’d love to see in my wardrobe this summer.
Today I’m sharing some of my fave pieces from Next, Topshop and Zara.
I think from these choices you can see a few trends that I am drawn to. I’m loving a flared sleeve. You may have seen my wedding outfit from my trip to Dubrovnik recently. The lace, flared sleeve top is from Next and hugely popular with my followers!
I’m loving distressed denim, nautical stripes, nudes and a splash of multi-colour. For evening or going out, a bit of black and off shoulder is fab.
There’s a few items on here that I’m desperate for. The Zara camo tee is gorge, as is the pin stripe off shoulder dress. My eyes hurt they are so pretty.
I’m actually really looking forward to getting back into fashion again. I’ve spent all of my adult life surrounded by fashion trends and ideas, but since starting a family and if I’honesty, being completely skint, I’m in a bit of a ‘chuck on what’s clean and comfy’ rut.
Let’s hope, once Lamb starts school in September and I’m working a little more I can start to build my wardrobe up again.
Exciting!

Fab choices lovely. I always love your style in your Instagram photos. And you looked stunning at the wedding. I especially love the striped Zara blouse with the flared sleeves. And that black bardot top from NEXT is lush. I love the way they have styled it with chinos. I love a chino in the summer and need to buy a pair. Hugs Lucy xxxx
