Today I’ve reached 25 weeks of my second pregnancy. Can you believe it?! Speedy pregnancy or what.
I’ve been thinking about what I’ll need for baby number 2. What products I loved using with my first baby and would use again, what I bought and and didn’t really need.
This post is all about what I would definitely buy again and recommend. Some we are even still using now.
First up we have Philips AVENT Dummies
. Lamb had a dummy from his early days. He suffered with colic and was extremely unsettled. We tried a dummy and it soothed him straight away. He’s almost 3 and we have finally ditched the dummy! I know some parents are totally against them, and some are for them. When Lamb had his first check up at home, the midwife was pleased to see him with a dummy (surprisingly!) as she said it’s a preventative of cot death. Of course there are negatives to using dummies, but I’ll just add Lambs speech is incredible. Avent dummies were my fave because they came with a case to keep them sterile and clean.
Next up is the Johnsons Bedtime range. I absolutely love the Johnsons Baby Bedtime Bath
and still use it now. The smell is just so sentimental! I also used the Johnsons Baby Bedtime Lotion
, which again smells so lovely and reminds me of my baby Lamb! I always stock up on this when it’s on offer and I’ll definitely be using this again with baby number 2.
Before Lamb was born we picked up a starter set from Tommee Tippee. As he got older some products weren’t needed anymore, but we have continuously used the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottles
(yep, he’s nearly 3 and still has a bottle. Don’t judge me, he doesn’t eat so we rely on milk and he’s extremely attached to his bottle). I’ve had no complains with these bottles. Their teats have an anti colic valve which really helped with Lambs colic (along with his Infacol medicine). We would definitely consider using Tommee Tippee again with baby number 2.
I’ve used many wipes overs the last 3 years and there are ones I love and ones I hate. I’m not a fan of Huggies, they tear really easily and are a bugger to get out of the packet. Personally I love Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes
. I use other wipes too, like Aldi which are fab, but for baby number 2 I’ll definitely be stocking up on Pampers when I see them on offer.
I reviewed Sudocrem Care & Protect
when Lamb was a baby and absolutely loved it. It’s a thinner, smoother version of the original Sudocrem, specifically made for your baby’s delicate skin. I found it improved Lambs nappy rash after only a single use. It’s not the cheapest nappy cream on the market, but it honestly is a really good product that I highly recommend.
I’m going to leave the list there for now. If I think of any more fab products I’ll write a second list.
Did you use any of these products? What would you add to this list?
