Today is International Cat Day so let’s talk about our fluffy friends. We all know us brits are animal lovers. Cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, we love them all! But why do we love them so much?
Cats have always been my favourite pet. I wrote this post on my life with cats. Currently we have a beautiful ragdoll cat called Luna. She’s a dream cat. Super fluffy, super stunning, super snuggly (when she wants to be).
I love having a cat as a pet because I find them extremely comforting, especially when I’m home alone. I’ve had dogs in the past when I lived at home, and they are great for protection, however there’s something about cats that are much more relaxing to me. Just having them for company makes an lonely evening less lonely.
I also love the crazy positions they sleep in!
To celebrate International Cat Day I’ve asked some of my blogging buddies why the love cats too.
“The poo outside (if they are outdoors) and Bury it themselves, give lush cuddles are fun to be around and less work than a dog” – Monkey-Feet
“Cats don’t need walking or pooper scooping! They will rule the roost though, and always find the most comfortable chair in the house!” – Belle Du Brighton
“I love their different characters and the fact they are more independent than dogs. They are ideal for families and I can’t imagine my house without one. In fact we had 2 months without one when my 19 year old cat died, and it was awful. The house felt so empty until our kitten Brewster arrived. He’s now 4 and is very much loved. They are calming and seem to know when someone needs a cuddle. My son helps with feeding our cat and there are never any arguments about who’s turn it is to ‘walk a cat’ are there!” – Over 40 and a Mum to One
“We have three gorgeous rescue cats. Low maintenance yet incredibly loving and affectionate. All have a different type of character yet get on well and I can waste hours enjoying cuddles and observing them. One will sit on command and the other plays fetch! Giving a loving, secure home to cats who’ve been abandoned is an unrivalled feeling ❤” – Thirty Something Belle
“They are independent but still love a good snuggle! Much easier than a dog, and smell better too 😂🙈” – Emily and Indiana
“They are great company, but independent too. They want you to be around, but you don’t have to let them out to go to the toilet or take them for walks. I’ve just got a new kitten and my baby, nearly 5 year old, partner and I have all fallen in love with her playful ways.” – Counting To Ten
“Mine kills the spiders in the house for me so I don’t have to and she keeps my feet warm in winter by sitting on them 😊” – Clares Little Tots
“I love their individual characters and their independence. Their territorial behaviour towards other felines always amuses me (apart from when it is in the middle of the night and you hear those awful screams!) The calming influence of their rhythmic purring whilst they are snoozing on your lap is so therapeutic! 🙂 ” – Taylor Made Ramblings
“We have a cat and I love that not only is he independent but he is very cuddly too. All cats have different personalities and some more affectionate and needy then others but majority of cats are very independent which is nice as you don’t have to worry about them too much.” – Just Motherhood
“I have two bonkers rescue cats, one who is obsessed with pinching pants and socks! I wouldn’t be without their furry faces even when they try and race me on the stairs! Their unique personalities, aloofness and intuitive behaviour all make cats my favourite animal. When I need a hug they’re always there too. ” – Hip2Trek
The RSPCA have shared this infographic on cat care with me to share with you, and as it’s International Cat Day I thought today was the perfect day to do it!

*This is not a paid post, however Luna is being sent a lovely cat hamper as a thank you!

I’m well known in my circle of friends for being a bit of a bargain hunter. When I was pregnant with Lamb I worked really close to a large Tesco so I would pop in on my lunch break and always come out with some sort of bargain from the clothing department. I ended up with way too much and he didn’t get to wear some of it.

When you think of breastfeeding you think of mothers. Mothers bonding with their baby’s over those precious moments spent together during feeds, but you know what? Bottle feeding is precious too.
If you’ve followed my blog since the beginning, you’ll know I could only feed Lamb breastmilk by expressing,
A couple of weeks ago Lamb was sent the new Bing magazine to review. This was perfect timing for us as he’s suddenly found a love for comics and we buy him one almost once a week. He’s at the age where he wants to read every single page and complete all of the tasks. He loves doing things like following paths, finding differences and picking odd things out.

The items I chose for Lamb are in their current sale, so be quick if you want them as it ends Sunday!
