I haven’t really gone into detail about my under active thyroid before. Because in all honesty I don’t really know much about it. I’ve never been given an overview of hypothyroidism. I was told to take meds and have been since my early twenties. (I’m now 31).
My first symptom was weight gain. I gained weight quickly and I had no idea why. After persuading the nurse to check my blood for hypothyroidism (because my mum and great aunt have it) I was diagnosed and taking medication 2 days later.
Pretty crazy to be honest.
So fast forward to today and I’m still on meds, and most likely will be for the rest of my life.

Spring is on its way, and this means it will soon be time for your whole family to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather. But what if your garden isn’t up to scratch? I’m not very green fingered at all, but with a little guidance I’m sure even I could create a lovely garden for our whole family to enjoy.
A family cruise is something we’ve talked about a lot recently. Cruises are a popular choice with families. They provide the flexibility to explore multiple locations without having to keep your kids entertained on multiple flights. Instead, you can board, unpack and enjoy.
I’ve mentioned starting the new year with a positive mental attitude a few times now and I have to say, I’m really proud of how I’m doing.
Being a parent brings with it a whole range of tasks and things to think of; from worrying about the kids eating healthy enough, to arranging pick up from school or booking dentists appointments.
