This just in…. Arabellas new nail salon officially open!!! Get those claws and tootsies ready for summer sandals. My little one is in charge with the help of Go Glam Nail Stamper!!
Now usually when there is any kid talk of makeovers or nail polish, I’m the first one heading for the hills, too many a time has my lipstick been coated along my teeth, eyeshadow on the forehead, and polish having more coverage on the skin that the nails. However this time we have a little bit of help this kit, which is honestly so simple, I’m entrusting my five year old with it.
The kit comes with the stamper, five sets of stamping tape, a purple polish, a blue polish, top coat, in a cute travel bag with a nail file attached. It’s all you need for a cute manicure, with designs featuring cupcakes, unicorns, hearts, kitty cats and flamingos!! Arabella of course had to choose two different designs, but it’s honestly so easy to switch out the stamper the whole process can be done in less that 20 minutes.
We found a handy youtube tutorial which explained everything down to a t! And if you don’t have that to hand, there is always the simple instructions included which explains how long to wait between coats, how to press down to get that even stamp and what to do in the event of the stamper getting stuck.

Now with anything beauty centred I can be a bit pessimistic, maybe I’m still jaded from a misfortune in my youth, with heart crimpers not working, but in all honesty I was truly surprised with just how easy and well this product worked. Super easy for even little ones to practice their new looks. It also comes with enough to cover 125 nails so the longevity is also clearly there. And for the price of only £25.00 with additional set designs and colours also available we know this is going to be kept for years to come. Its already made it’s way to mine, dads and her second design- and fun fact hers has lasted five days on, which is a feat considering I once gelled them, and she picked them off the same day!

As my eldest son gets older (he’s 7 can you believe it?!) I’m always looking for toys and activities that makes him think a little more. We were sent these 3D effect jigsaw puzzles a few weeks ago (perfect little activity for the Easter Holidays!) and even I’ve enjoyed doing them with him!
The puzzles are available in 3 different designs, which you can buy as a set of 3 for a reduced price, or individually for £9.99 each.
The surface of the puzzles is a holographic plastic which gives the 3D effect to the image. This makes the pieces a little more difficult to put together, but nothing a couple of bangs won’t sort out!
If you fancy trying these for yourself I have a little discount to share with you. You can either click this link or use the code MNDD3DP at the checkout.

Like with all the Hatchimal eggs to help them ‘hatch’ you ruin your thumbs over the heart and as the shell warms up it begins to soften and crumble. This is the favourite part for the boys. It really has a magical element to the reveal process.
Once the large egg has been hatched and you’ve removed the shell, you reveal your 3 new Hatchimal characters. Exciting!

Finally in the lowest part of the egg there is a little ‘scene’ for you to sit your characters on and keep nicely in the display part of the e.g, as well as a small sheet of stickers. These were quite fiddly, so you’ll probably need to help put it together (and even then you’ll probably find they don’t stay in place).

Hello everyone! Today at Lamb and Bear we are bringing the fun with another review, this time favoured towards your little explorers and ‘imaginators’!!

If you have young children in primary school you’ll know that using computers and learning about ‘coding’ is something that is part of their curriculum and learning.
You may know of the OKIDO characters from the popular CBeebies show, and now you can enjoy helping the characters travel around their map.
The games starts with you spinning the wheel to see what journey you need to make. Using the magnetic pieces, you place them around the board until you reach your destination. The car drives along the black line and stops at the end. If the path isn’t correct, you can remove the pieces and try again.
The only real issue we’ve found with this game is the car. The rubber that goes around the wheels comes off very easily, and if we were to loose it we wouldn’t be able to play the game. So we have to be careful our 3 year old doesn’t get hold of it, and we put it away properly.
Personally, I love how educational this game is without ‘learning’ being thrown at the kids. My boys both love board games, but this is something they can play on their own, together, or even with friends. All taking it in turns to have a go.
