As you may know we recently made some changes to our home. Upstairs we swapped our bedroom over so the boys had the bigger room, and downstairs we swapped the dining room with the living room and redecorated.
I absolutely love the changes we’ve made to our living room, but I knew I wanted to add some finishing touches; it just didn’t feel finished.
We don’t have very big rooms in our house, so we can’t add much furniture. This means we don’t have anywhere to put any pictures, other than on the walls.
As the walls are a pale dusty pink, I wanted to add a pop of colour somewhere. So we decided to take a look at Posterlounge and find something vibrant that would suit our new living room.
Around the room we have a few mini succulents, as well as a large faux cactus by the fire. I thought adding some more greenery would compliment the little natural touches we already had.
The first print we went for is this huge palm print above our corner sofa. We didn’t want busy frames, so were please to find several options for prints that doesn’t require hanging with a frame.
We decided to try the Forex material for this print. Forex has a rigid foam board core which is extremely lightweight, making it very easy to attach to walls. Forex images are printed using UV direct printing, which gives them the high level of saturation and brilliant colours. (UV printing helps prevent fading and ensures a long life.)
As you can see the detail and colour of the print is amazing. This print really adds bold colour to our living room wall, and compliments the soft pink tones throughout the room.
The second print we chose is a very vibrant cactus; a perfect addition to our newly decorated living room.
For this print we opted for the Dibond material. Alu-Dibond images consist of two ultra-thin mounting sheets made of aluminium with a core of black polyethylene in between. Alu-Dibond is very resistant to moisture and sunlight. This means you can hang the images outdoors, or even in wet areas.
As with the Forex print, we were able to hang this to the wall with minimal effort and no frame. It really was very easy.

Posterlounge offer several material options. As I mentioned above the Alu-Dibond is suitable for outdoors or we areas, so could be the perfect choice if you’re looking for art to hang in your bathroom.
Other alternatives include wood, glass and canvas, as well as a standard poster.
The prices vary, so if you’re on a budget you can opt for a paper post. However if you’ve got a bit more cash to spare you can choose one the the innovative alternatives like Forex or Dibond.
Posterlounge have thousand of amazing prints available on their website (trust me, it took us forever to decide!) and they have kindly offered Lamb & Bear readers the chance to win a £40 voucher to spend on their website.
