I sometimes find my customers can struggle with how to style my leggings on their kids. If you don’t normally buy bright colours and vivid prints, then this is pretty understandable.
I love mix matching the boys and playing with print and colour, but sometimes it can be a bit much.
The easiest way to style my leggings is to pick out one colour from the print and choose something to team in that colour.
Don’t go for the base colour as it will be almost impossible to match, so go for one of print colours, or even the contrast stitching colour.
As Next is such an easy place to shop and really good value, I’ve found a few tops to team with my new leggings, so you can see just how easy it can be to style them.
Styling For Boys
What’s great about my new collection is each print uses different shades of grey. This means whatever you buy to team with the leggings will most likely work with more than one pair. The tops I’ve chosen above would absolutely mix match and each top would work with each print on the leggings.
If you buying something grey you can’t go wrong!
I also believe these outfits would be perfect for girls too. We all know girls love dinosaurs and monsters too!
Styling For Girls
With these choices I’ve added a little more colour, which of course you could do for boys too.
The pink t-shirt has a grey print, which matches the Lamb & Bear leggings perfectly. In fact, if anyone has my Stevie Stegosaurus leggings you should definitely buy this t-shirt to go with them!
A lovely colour to pick out of the Flaming Flamingo leggings is the turquoise leaves. Everyone who has bought these leggings so far, and shared photos with me, have all teamed them with a turquoise top and it looks fab.
I love the detail on this one from Next, with the unicorn and rainbow, so if I had a daughter I’d be buying her this to wear with the Flamingo leggings.
Like with the boys choices, a simple grey t-shirt is the perfect choice for the Raging Rhino leggings. Mustard is such a strong colour you don’t need fight it. Go with grey.
Unisex Styling
If you’re looking for something a little more gender neutral or plain, or perhaps you have boy & girl twins who share clothes, then something like the above would be a great choice. As I design unisex leggings, you really should be able to style them easily to keep the whole outfit unisex.
As I mentioned above, simply pick out a colour and buy a plain top. The Lamb & Bear leggings have neon yellow contrast stitching on the side seam, so I’ve picked out a lime t-shirt which is perfect for either a boy or girl.
Like most of my Flamingo customers, a turquoise top is the perfect choice for a gender neutral outfit, alternatively orange would work well too.
Finally for the Rhinos all you need is a grey top. Simple.
As I’m a little more experimental with that the boys wear, I’d probably choose something less plain. For those who don’t like busy with busy, hopefully the suggestions above will be ideal for you.
Which is you favourite look from those above?
How would you style my leggings?
