Blogiversary Giveaway No.3 with The Gro Company

To celebrate our 1 year blogiversary we have teamed up with some of our favourite brands to offer our followers some amazing prizes. We are now onto our third giveaway and have teamed up with our friends at The Gro Company.

We love and use a lot of products from the Gro Company and have reviewed a few items on the blog. Ideal for this time of year we recently reviewed a travel Grobag in 2.5 tog. Lamb is still using this and it the perfect tog our our house during these cold nights. You can read our review here.

Last summer we were sent a travel geo bag in 0.5 tog and a travel GroBlind. I absolutely love both products. The GroBlind has never left Lambs bedroom window (unless we take it on holiday of course) and the 0.5 tog travel Grobag is safely packed away until next summer. It’s 18-36 months so will last him another year. I highly recommend both of these products, so if you are looking for essential travel pro cuts for children I would consider these. Blogiversary Giveaway No.2 with OXO Tot

It’s time to launch our 2nd blogiversary giveaway! Today’s prize has been given to us by our lovely friends over at OXO Tot, a brand loved and used by Lamb & Bear. You can see our reviews on their products here.

Today’s prize is the OXO Tot 4 piece feeding set. Included is a plate, bowl with lid and knife and fork, all suitable from 12+ months. Personally I would use the plate and bowl from the start of weaning, but obviously the recommended age is directed at the knife and fork. The handles and the base of the plate/bowls are rubber which prevents them from being pushed off the table if you have a fussy eater like me! This, I love.

Dishwasher safe – something I always look for when buying kitchen products. I’m happy to say the plate and bowl and top shelf safe and the knife and fork completely safe. Yipee!

1 year Blogiversary & Sophie La Girafe Giveaway

I can’t believe we are celebrating Lamb & Bear’s 1 year blogiversary! What a year it has been! Blogging alongside a part time job isn’t easy, but I have worked my little bum off to get to where we are today. I’ve connected with some amazing brands and bloggers and am very grateful to every single person that reads the blog.

I had no idea what blogging can achieve. I was a complete novice and still think I am, but maybe a good novice! I love reviewing products and working on collaborations, reading other blogs and linking up to different linkys each week.

I’d like to say a special thanks to a few bloggers who have been a constant presence since I begun this time last year. Firstly the lovely Gemma over at Sunshine On a Cloudy Day who is always there to answer a question and does an amazing job with #mblogchat. Emily over at Emily and Indiana who has been my biggest fan of my wedding posts (I will be writing some more soon, I promise!). Finally Alice over at New Young Mum, who is always so great at commenting on my posts and pictures. Hopefully one day we can have a chit chat over a coffee or two!

Bio-Oil Pregnancy app & giveaway

Around 8 months pregnant (I think!)

I used bio-oil when I was pregnant with Lamb. I didn’t only use it on my bump, but also on my chest, legs and even bum! Anywhere that had a risk of stretch marks. I can’t say for anyone else, but I definitely believe bio-oil prevented me getting a huge amount of stretch marks. I don’t have any on my tummy; i’m lucky, I know. Whether you believe it works or not, I would highly recommend using it. You skin is put through a huge amount of strain as your bump grows, so it’s really important to do as much as you can to keep your skin hydrated.

Review & giveaway: OXO Tot Twist Top Bottle.

597 I love this cup, so as well as reviewing it, I’m going to give one away on Lamb & Bear too. (You’ve caught me in a very good mood, you can thank mr sunshine for his appearance this weekend).  Details of how to enter are at the end of the post.

20140720-201520-72920898.jpgLamb was recently sent a twist top water bottle to review by the lovely people over at OXO tot UK and this is our honest opinion – it’s fab. Lamb hasn’t been great at drinking water. We’ve always had to give him baby juice (we water this down so has a very weak flavour) but we would still always have to use juice. Earlier this year Mummy Bear bought Jaxson a new juice bottle with a straw. He instantly loved it. However, this particular cup didn’t have a lid, and so easily leaked when we were out and about. In this scorching weather I need to make sure Lamb is drinking plenty of water, and it seems unless he has a bottle with a straw, he’s very unlikely to drink water at all. The twist top water bottle is our perfect solution. The bottle is extremely hardwearing. After plenty of drops (or throws) it doesn’t have a mark on it. It holds plenty of water (300ml), yet isn’t too heavy for Lamb to hold by himself. And most importantly, it has a lid! The clever design of the ‘twist top’ means the straw can be hidden away when Lamb isn’t drinking, and the water stays where it should be!

The twist top water bottle retails at £8. It has a non slip lid and non slip carrying loop, which you can see from the image below is used well by Little Lamb. It is, of course, made of BPA free materials, and to every mothers delight, is dishwasher safe – phew! I have to be honest, this is one of the things I look for when buying feeding products for Lamb, it makes my life so much easier if everything can go into the dishwasher.

If you have read my previous posts you can see I am a big fan of the OXO tot feeding products and I truly believe they are worth investing in. Their retail prices are slightly higher than other brands, I have said this before in other posts, but you really do get what you pay for. A quality product. I have been using OXO tot products for around 5 months now and everything we own is still going strong, with absolutely no issues or damages. I will continue to use OXO tot products as I feel I have found a brand that is right for us.
