Welcome to the second part of my ‘what’s in my hospital bag’ series. As you can see this post is about the toiletries I’m taking. Iv’e also published a hospital bag for baby post which you can head over and look at if you need tips on how much to take etc.
The toiletry bag I’m using is from Amazon. I did a bit of browsing and decided to look for one that had a hook or handle for me to hang the bag up in the bathroom or shower room to avoid it getting wet or dirty (I remember the bathroom on the hospital ward being pretty gross last time I was there).
I’m really impressed with this Travel Folding Toiletry Bag in pink leopard print. It was really good value costing just over £5, however it came from China so took quite a while to be delivered. I definitely recommend it though as it has fit everything I need in with space for a little more.

So what am I taking in my hospital toiletry bag?
- Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in Travel Bottles
which I also picked up from Amazon for under £3 – bargain!
- Roll on deodorant.
- Dry Shampoo.
- Baby powder (to make getting dry 10 times easier).
- Water Wipes cleansing wipes.
- Toilet wipes (so I can feel extra fresh down there 😉 )
- My thyroid medication.
- A mini pot of sudocrem.
- Lip balm.
- Medela nipple cream.
- Sanitising hand gel.
- Neals Yard facial wash (I have a mini bottle so have put it in in case I’m in hospital a couple of nights).
- Neals Yard daily moisturiser.
- Travel case for my Invisalign braces.
- Tissues.
- Face cloth.
- Toothbrush and holder.
- Toothpaste.
- Paracetamol.
- Hair brush, hair bands and hair grips.
When I gave birth to Lamb I had to stay in 2 nights/3 days. Now I know baby will need to be taken for checks for strep b when he’s born I’m preparing for at least a 1 night stay (which I don’t mind at all).
If you think I’ve missed anything let me know!

Looks like you’ve got everything covered, good luck.
You look and sound so organised! Your posts are getting me so excited for when I can pack my bags!
You sound and look very prepared. i also remember the shower room in the hospital not looking the best so great tip about the toiletry bag. Will remember that for when we are next there. Not long to go now. 🙂
