Weekend Baby Style #6
This is our 6th week of linking up with the weekend baby style linky and I’m really enjoying sharing Lambs outfits with you! We get so many lovely comments about his outfits which makes me very happy!
This weekend has been super busy so I’m late linking up. I also normally photograph Lamb as soon as he’s dressed, but I’ve literally had no time at home to do it. So we have some lovely shots of him at Hever Castle today.
Lamb’s long sleeve t-shirt is from Zara and was £4.99 (bargain!!) It’s age 2-3 which is why it looks so big – he’s not 2 until the 19th of March!
His mustard cords are from H&M and are size 18-24 months, but still have plenty of life left in them. They came with a really nice grey belt with white bears on but I’ve lost it! I can’t remember how much they cost, probably no more than £9.99.
His wolf jumper is also from H&M and cost £7.99. I love this jumper. H&M do the best sweatshirts and jumpers for little boys, I buy one every time I go to town! This one is size 2-3 years.
And to finish off Lambs look this week is his new (evil) Donald Duck baseball cap! This kid has seriously good taste. He picked it out himself last week and made me buy it for him! So glad I did, it’s been so sunny this weekend! I will add this is age 4-7 years!! Lamb’s always had a big head… 😉
Hope you’ve all had a fab and stylish weekend.

World Book Day – Lamb’s Favourites
As you already know, yesterday was World Book Day so I thought this would be the perfect time to share some of Lamb’s current faves with you. (I was meant to post this yesterday but mummy duties prevented this).
Lamb’s a sucker for a good book, but always goes back to his favourites for another read.
Of course, like most kids, he loves The Gruffalo
. He’s obsessed. He knows the animals and the sounds they make. He has the mini plush toys and spends hours lining them up and making the eat his dinner. With his love for The Gruffalo came his love for The Gruffalo’s Child
. An obvious choice for a Christmas pressies last year. Although he calls it ‘baby gruffalo’ rather than Gruffalo’s child!
Another Julia Donaldson fave of Lamb’s is The Highway Rat. He got this for Christmas from his Auntie and uncle because they knew he loved The Gruffolo. I have to say, I’m a fan of this book too!
‘Where’s Toodles’ is one of Lambs oldest books. His Granan (great-nan) bought it for him over a year ago and he’s loved it ever since. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has always been his favourite and recently he’s found a love for Toodles, so he loves pressing the Toodles button and shouting “Oh Toodles!”
The Julia Donaldson’s ‘Tales from Acorn Wood’ series is a new favourite in our house. Lamb received these 2 books from the collection for Christmas last year, and he loves the lifting the flaps to reveal the animals. He’s really into animals and knows quite a few (this is thanks to us living about 5 minute drive from a zoo and his obsession with the animals in The Gruffalo).
I bought Lamb the Judith Kerr Treasury for Christmas last year (mainly because The Tiger Who Came To Tea was my favourite book as a child) and we have recently found it to be our go to book for a bedtime story. The stories aren’t too long, so if Lamb is still quite awake I will read him 2 from the collection. Again, as he has a love for animals, he loves hearing what the animals get up to in these stories.
If you don’t want to buy the whole collection I highly recommend The Tiger Who Came to Tea
.
I think I will leave the list there for now. I could probably add a few more, but maybe I will start a monthly book list telling you what Lamb has been reading. His grandparents got him a lovely bookcase for his bedroom so we not have everything on display for him to choose from.
What books do your little ones like reading?
You can see what I liked reading as a child here. You can also read our recent book reviews here.

Mother’s Day – What do we really want?
It’s almost Mother’s Day – what do us mums really want?
Give us vouchers so we can shop. Buy us the perfume we love a lot.
Treat us to lunch so we don’t have to cook. Take the kids out so we can put our feet up.
Splash out and buy us a spa day. Or even stretch to a weekend away.
But remember not everything costs money. Why not make us something funny?
Get the kids to make us a card. Glueing and colouring isn’t so hard.
A photo montage that we can treasure. These are the things we will keep forever.
