Here at Lamb & Bear we’ve been kindly sent a new craze that is finally landing here in the uk this month. Okay okay I know, parents are probably sighing, eye rolling and thinking another one for the kiddies to collect, but we have all been very impressed with the difference with this new bunch of Squishmallows.
So lets get down to business. Squishmallows are a range of thirteen cuddly buddies for your child to take everywhere. Measuring about 7.5 inches they are just about able to squeeze themselves into a child sized backpack. They are set to retail around the £7.99 mark with further drops in the future, including a Disney set this Autumn, which we are counting the days on our calendar to collect.
The Squishmallows lovingly resemble different animals, as well as two magical unicorns named Astrid and Esmerelda; ADORABLE, and Danny the Dino. So there is something for every child.
Little one is currently obsessed with Cameron the patchwork Cat.

The soft toys are just that, super duper soft! You will want to cuddle up with these little ones as soon as stroke them. They’re perfect to use them on car journeys as a pillow as they can be squished without loosing their shape. Even my seven year old was involved with the choosing and naming of these guys.
We are also super impressed with the pricing. It feels so much more for your money than say a blind bag or surprise egg. And we all know the kids will usually misplace days after.
To coincide with the toy launch, a new website will also feature more information about your new family member, downloadable adoption certificates and games involving these cute critters. Furthermore the website offers parents to purchase an exclusive Squishmallow not available anywhere else, seeing as my eldest is always on the hunt for the rare collectables, there is no doubt we will also need this little fellow.
Squishmallows will sell out FAST so get yours from mid-May onwards at Clintons, The Entertainer, Home Bargains, Smyths, Toymaster and www.squishmallows.co.uk.
What are you waiting for?!

When it comes to birthday celebrations, each one is just as important as the next. So if you’re planning a birthday party for a friend or family member, here are some top tips to make sure it’s a hit!
When you first welcome your little bundle of joy into your home, you will probably feel ridiculously overwhelmed. Although you’ve had nine months to prepare for this moment, the way your life morphs into something unrecognisable is a shock. No longer are you responsible for just yourself. There is another little human being that needs your love, support and care for at least the next eighteen years and beyond. As a responsible parent, your first priority is to find a routine, help your baby sleep each night, and feed as necessary. However, there will also come a time post baby blues, once you have found your new mummy rhythm, when you want to shift some of the baby weight that you are finding hard to get rid of.
Travelling with kids can be challenging to say the least. Even a short trip to the supermarket can lead to tears and chaos. Younger children can become confused and upset, and you’ll worry about keeping them safe, and older children and teens would much rather be with their friends, doing anything else, which can lead to plenty of moaning and whining.
