A few weeks ago we were sent a selection of Vanish goodies to try out. With a toddler and pets, we often need to tackle stains on clothes and carpets.
We are pretty lucky with Lamb, he’s not that messy at all. He doesn’t like messy play with his hands, and is very careful when painting, however it’s good to have something in the house ready for when he does spill something or decides to nose dive into the grass and stain his knees.
He also doesn’t eat, so we never have food stains on his clothes (although I would much rather he ate and ruined everything he owned).
Moving onto our 2 cats, this is a different story. One of them has been a tad poorly recently and we have been waking up to mess on the living room carpet quite often.
Out comes the Vanish Powershot Carpet Stain Remover. This couldn’t have been sent to us at a better time. Having pale coloured carpets probably wasn’t the brightest of ideas, but our house is quite small and we wanted to keep the rooms bright, so we’re just dealing with the stains.
The Vanish Carpet Stain Remover is literally amazing. We have absolutely no stains from the cats and have in fact removed old stains that have been on the carpet a while. Things like spilled juice, mud from shoes, crayon, have all come up nice and clean and we couldn’t be happier. My husband used the whole bottle in the space of a couple of weeks!
We also tried out the Vanish Oxi Action Fabric Stain Remover on Lambs clothes.
One of my favourite t-shirts from his summer wardrobe had a little stain on the front which I was determined to remove. I sprayed the stain with the fabric stain remover and washed as per the instructions. The stain had been there a while so I wasn’t expecting it to fade but it did! It didn’t completely go, but I was really impressed with how much it faded.
We have yet to use two of the products sent to use as these are for putting in the washing machine with full loads, and to be honest I haven’t had anything to wash that needed stains removing! I will however use the products with lambs white bedsheets and our pillow cases to see if we can brighten them up. Look out on social media for our results!

I genuinely saw a huge improvement in Lambs confidence in the pool while he was wearing his swim jacket. Compared to last year he was a completely different little boy. He was loving the water so much all he wanted to do was jump in!
Personally, I never spend a lot on bikinis. You can find some amazing ones for budget prices. Don’t get me wrong, when I find a winner that is a MUST, I’ll spend a little more, but I’m not overly confident with my figure so I’m not too fussed with spending loads on flaunting it in a bikini.
