One of the most common “life energy” blockers in our home and workspace is clutter. Whether it be your closet or office desk, excess things in your surroundings can have a negative impact on your ability to focus and process information.
My 31st Birthday Wish List
I’ve kept a little quiet about my birthday this year. Mainly because I just don’t have the time to think about it, and let’s face it, it’s all about the kids these days.
Having said that, I do love a good wish list post. So here I am sharing with you what I’m hoping the birthday fairy might bring me in the morning. Yes, that’s right, it’s my 31st birthday tomorrow.
(Some things I’ve asked for or mentioned so may actually get, the rest I intend to buy if I get any birthday money).
Redesigning The Boys Bedroom – From Baby Boys To Big Boys
If you didn’t know already, my boys share a bedroom. We kept bear in our room as long as we could, but when the time came we made the decision to move him into Lamb’s old cot and work on a new bedtime routine.
As we all know with parenting, time goes super fast. So Bear seems to be growing into a little boy from a baby rather quickly. And it will soon be time to think about how we will design the bedroom to suit both of them. Luckily we didn’t go for anything too babyish in their room. No baby blue, no white. We chose a gorgeous dinosaur wallpaper in a beige colour with green dinosaurs. Very muted colours, nothing bright. That way we knew we could add colour if we wanted to and the look of the bedroom would last for a few years, without Lamb growing out of it.
Summer Infant Pop ‘N’ Play Playpen Review
This summer we were sent a Pop ‘N Play playpen from Summer Infant to try out. I was happy to be offered one. Because let’s face it, my little Bam Bam needs to be on lockdown sometimes!
It’s Time To Be Me Again And I Don’t Feel Guilty About It

Right now I’m sat on the sofa with a hot coffee. I’ve published one blog post, answered a few emails and now writing this post. I’m working my way through my to-do list. I’m not stressed and I’m not shouty. And I don’t feel guilty about it.
Today is Lambs first full day at school. There were tears. He pulled me back most of the way to school and repeated “I don’t want to go”. Not nice for any parent to deal with, especially as it has been like this every day so far.
Then there’s my little cub, who also screamed as Grandma put him in the car to take him for the day.
But you see, today is my first official work from home day without the boys. It’s the day I’ve been longing for. The day I’ve so desperately needed. Yet the day I’ve been dreading. The day that I knew would be so bitter sweet.
