Those words. Damn they hurt. But it’s an occurance my children have had to experience. At only five and three they shouldn’t have to utter those thoughts but they have. They’ve both asked dad if mums needs another nap, why isn’t she up today, why is mummy crying, is she sad again?
I’m so excited to introduce my new resident guest blogger to you. My wonderfully lovely sister-in-law. She is probably one of the most caring and kind people I know, but has been through a tough time over the last 3 years and she’s here to share her story with you.
MMMMMM UUUUUUUUUUUUU MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
That is one of the many names I go by. But I do prefer Stevie and I am mother to wonderful little creatures; Indiana Kidd and Arabella Scout.
Now that Lamb is in school we have the task of making sure he’s finding the time to read for at least 10 minutes a day, as well as any other homework or tasks they send home.
Living in a busy house means we can’t always find the time or space to really concentrate. This is why creating a dedicated reading space in his bedroom is something we’re thinking of doing.
I always thought I’d be a super arts and crafts mum. But turns out I’m not. Funny as I’m creative in my work life, but home life I just can’t hack it.
I think my biggest challenge is finding the space. We don’t have a very spacious house so one tiny bit of mess, suddenly becomes a huge mess.
I used to do the odd crafty activity with Lamb, but now Bear has come along I just don’t have the time. My wild child much prefers running around outside in the rain then sitting quietly with a paintbrush.
I’m quite open minded when it comes to my horoscope and things like that. I’m not necessarily a believer, but I do like to read things about the month or year I was born in, find out what it says about me etc.
For a bit of fun I’m sharing a Baby Bloom Horoscope from Flying Flowers. Now, I feel like the personalities of my boys are quite clear. Lamb is sensitive, shy, very loving, but a bit cheeky and has a great sense of humour. Bear is a little more wild. He’s confident and adventurous, but can be a little clingy but very giggly.
