With the Summer fast approaching keeping my boys hydrated is my new mission by finding more ways to get them drink more water.
I was recently contacted by BWT and asked if I wanted to try and review their Mineralised Water Filter Jug and try out some of their BWT Gourmet Water drink recipes.
The idea behind the jug sounded great so I was definitely happy with giving it a try with my family.
With life being so hectic at the moment I’m having to be quite picky with what reviews and campaigns I take on. Especially toy reviews. Kids aren’t the easiest creatures to work with. They don’t often listen to instructions, sometimes get up and walk out, or refuse to sit still for the camera etc.
Having said that, when Tech Will Save Us got in touch and asked if I’d like to review and promote their brand new Marvel Avengers Electro Hero Kit, I took one look at it and knew Lamb would absolutely love it.
It combines 3 of his favourite things. Play dough, technology and of course the Avengers.
I’m a total amateur but I love baking. I bake the boys birthday cakes every year and I get pretty good comments on my baking skills.
Although I love baking, I do end up pretty tired from all of the mixing, especially as Lamb never helps me even though he says he will. So it was about time I upped my baking game with a brand new VonShef Stand Mixer from Domu!
I’ve always dreamed of owning a stand mixer so when I was offered one to review I did a little happy dance.
The mixer is really lovely. Very easy to use and certainly makes baking much simpler!
The mixer comes with with 3 attachments to use depending on what you’re baking. The Flat Beater – for medium to heavy concoctions including batters and sponge. The Dough Hook – for kneading heavy mixtures such as bread and short pastry. And the Balloon Whisk – for whipping up light and airy mixtures like meringue.
To make Lambs superhero cupcakes I used the flat beater, as the instructions said this was best for cakes, however I don’t think it whisked the batter enough so when I bake Bears cupcakes next month I’m going to use the balloon whisk to create a lighter batter.
The mixer has 6 speed settings as well as a pulse setting, ensuring you have the perfect speed for whatever you’re mixing. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at how much quicker I managed to bake 36 cupcakes for Lambs birthday!
There are a couple of features of the stand mixer that I really liked. First of all the blue light around the speed dial. Of course this is ideal for baking in low lights, but also I think it makes the overall appearance a little more finished. Secondly, the stand mixer’s tilt-head design has a safety switch to prevent it from accidentally starting when not in the correct position. This is so useful for someone who can be a little forgetful and clumsy when working under pressure!
The VonShef Classic Stand Mixer retails at £74.99, which compared with other leading brands, is really good value. The stainless steel mixing bowl is dishwasher safe (a bonus for any busy mum). And the product comes with a free extended 2 year warranty.
I am really happy with my new stand mixer. Having such useful product has inspired me to bake more and to venture away from my comfort zone of cakes.

As you all already know, my Little Lamb is superhero obsessed. Avengers, Justice League, Power Rangers, Transformers, Ninja Turtles… I could go on.
He got so many amazing gifts for his birthday from his family and friends. And you guessed it they were mostly superhero themed.

With our finances being limited, we find ourselves making notes of places we’d like to visit with the kids in the UK. Days out, weekends away, even staycations. We are wanting to exploring our country more and more, and with Bear being such a whirlwind it makes sense for us to pack up the car and check out what’s on our doorstep.
