Weekend Baby Style #2

This weeks weekend baby style is all about mix match prints. My obsession. My favourite place to buy printed leggings for Lamb (other than independent designers like Fred & Noah) is Zara. They are amazing quality and great value. The ones he is wearing here were £6.99. Bargain! They are size 18-24 months and still fit him really well (he’s 2 next month). The top is also from Zara and was also £6.99.

With the weather being so cold I teamed this outfit with Lambs fox jumper from Sainsbury’s. He loves this jumper. Mainly because he loves the Gruffolo and knows there’s a fox in the book!

River Island Mini Boys Haul

A while ago I wrote a River Island Mini wish list for Lamb. Their stuff is really contemporary and a little quirky, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! Well, this wish list has now turned into a haul!

As soon as the Boxing Day sales begun I jumped at the chance to grab some of the baby boys collection. With it being brand new, and something I’ve never tried before, I didn’t want to pay full price. The bits I got were all half price, and a real bargain.

I bought everything in size 2-3 years so will be saving these bits to give to Lamb for his birthday (he’s 2 in March!) So far I’m really impressed with the quality and the fabric feels really soft. I can’t comment on sizing as Lamb hasn’t tried anything on yet, but as soon as he does I’ll update you on how everything fits.

My favourite item from this haul has to be the leopard print trainers. I can’t wait for Lamb to start wearing them! If anyone can pull off leopard print shoes, it’s Little Lamb. 😉

Lambs River Island Mini wish list

I have to be honest, since River Island launched their Mini range I haven’t really had the time to properly look at it. I’ve seen the odd photo here and there, but I haven’t sat and browsed at the whole collection, so that’s what I did today.

I have to say I’m really impressed. They have captured their signature really well. The product available is very ‘river island’. A mix of rock ‘n’ roll edge with contemporary brights. Not everything is to my taste, and not everything will suit Lamb, but there is plenty I do love and would definitely buy for him. I particularly like the printed leggings (obviously!) and sweatshirts (specifically the one that says ‘sweat shirt’ on the front!)

I don’t always like matching tops and bottoms, it can look a little chavvy. But this set is so cool, I think Lamb could rock it.

These are my favourite t-shirts from the Mini range. Obviously I would get Lamb the dinosaur one, to go with his huge bundle of dinosaur clothes he has already! We call him monkey regularly so the monkey t-shirt would be fun for him to wear, and the other two are just really cool, and would go well with a lot of the clothes already in his wardrobe.

These jeans remind me of classic Levis. I love the turn up detail and the price is really reasonable!

So thats Lamb’s River Island Mini wish list. I’m really trying not to buy any of it right now, I just sorted through his 18-24 month clothes and he has loads! I genuinely didn’t think he had that much. So no shopping until he’s in 2-3 years (lets see how long that lasts!) Wow, I can’t believe the next set of clothes I buy him will be age 2-3 years!!! My baby boy is now a troublesome toddler!

Product Review: LamaLoLi.com

Lamb & Bear were recently asked to review clothing from LamaLoLi, an online shop for licensed children’s clothing.

Vicky and I have similar taste when it comes to children’s clothing. Neither of us like anything too branded or gimmicky, however when it comes to Disney we allow exceptions.

Lamb is obsessed with Mickey Mouse. He adores him. Whenever we are out shopping and he sees Mickey he points to him and shouts. Which results in Mummy Lamb coming home with something Mickey every time we go shopping!

Vicky and I had a browse at the LamaLoLi website and both agreed they had a good, wide range of product available. We didn’t like everything available, but that’s expected with such a huge range of product, but absolutely love the Disney range! You can view it here.

As Lamb has such an obsession with Mickey Mouse, he obviously wanted to review a Mickey Mouse outfit. So we decided to get a Minnie Mouse outfit for Baby Bear – so they can match, of course. We secretly love it when they match, most of the time we don’t even do it on purpose, but look out for posts on Autumn walks with matching wellies! 😉

I am really happy with the choices we made. The quality of the clothing is great, they wash well, and I’m really happy with the fit. Lamb is almost 19 months so most of his clothes are huge on him, but even though the outfit was a little big on him, it wasn’t massive. The same goes for Baby Bear, she is 13 months and the outfit fits her really well with a little room for growing.

Oops… Another H&M baby haul!

As it was my birthday on Tuesday, I decided to go for a stroll through town and try to spend my birthday money because it normally goes in my purse and disappears on pointless purchases. However, I made the mistake of walking through H&M, getting into the lift, and going to the children’s department. I didn’t mean to, it was an accident, I promise! 😉

To no surprise, I bought a few bits for Lamb. Can you blame me? My local H&M has recently doubled in size, added a massive children’s department (and maternity – only 2 years too late!), and stocks so much lovely product!

Here is what I have added to Lambs 18-24 month wardrobe (I still can’t believe he’s 18 months – but I do love this age).

I love this vest. The quality is amazing, and I love the detailing. This will go perfectly with the stuff I picked up from Zara recently. It’s quite big for an 18-24 month size, so he probably won’t wear it for a few months. You can see what I got from Zara here.

Hat & Mittens £5.99

Finally, we have Lambs new hat & mittens. He had these last winter which had racoons on them, this time it’s penguins – just as cute. He looked adorable in them last year, and baby bear even had the girls set (I’m secretly hoping mummy bear buys the girls set again this year so they can match!)

The stuff from H&M is such amazing value, and lasts forever. I’ve never had any problems with their clothing and will continue to shop there throughout Lambs toddler years.
