Can you believe I’ve been blogging for three whole years!
To be honest I can’t believe I’ve actually stuck to something for so long and not given up.
Running my blog and social media accounts takes up so much time and with being a mum of two little kids it’s super hard. But the last three years have brought me so much, so it’s all been worth it.
We’ve lived in our house for almost 6 years now, and it’s going to be our home for a while longer. We’d love to move, but after both of us being made redundant we can’t afford to upsize.
I’m a little obsessed with scouring Rightmove for dream homes. I’m torturing myself really, but I still find myself looking at houses for sale in our area and dreaming about our forever home.
My name is Alex and I’m a mother to 2 beautiful boys.
I’d like to describe myself as a new mum, but Bear (my second son) is 8 months old now, so he’s certainly not new. In fact we’re well into the milestones and I’d put money on him taking his first steps by 10 months.
I’ve also got a 3, soon to be 4, year old, who I refer to as Lamb. He’s a sensitive soul and I rely on him for snuggles.
I’m writing to you because I think it’s time you knew just how important you are to my life. I’m sure you don’t realise how much I need you, I mean, really need you. Especially in the form of a drive-thru.
WeaningIt’s all a bit mind blowing really. One minute your baby is happily slurping away on milk and the next a whole new world awaits you. One filled with textures, flavours and quite frankly, a whole lot of mess.
I, like most first time mums, was quite excited at the prospect of weaning my baby. I breastfed exclusively up until six months and the very day of his half-birthday (it’s a thing, trust me), we tried him on his first food. What was it you ask? A raw carrot.
To be fair, that may be where we went wrong.
This year we have been asked to be a Konfidence baby swimologist, which I’m really excited about. We love the brand and we love swimming!
Last Year we reviewed a Konfidence swim jacket with Lamb and have kept it for when Bear is older. Now we are working with Konfidence again Bear has been sent his own selection of goodies to use as a baby swimologist during his swimming lessons.
Bear has already completed one term of lessons and we are now 2 weeks into his second term. We are both absolutely loving swimming. He’s such a natural in the water. He doesn’t mind being submerged and even tries jumping in himself when I sit him on the side! I’m going to have a bomber on my hands aren’t I!
As swimologists we will be keeping you up to date with Bears progress and our thoughts on the Konfidence products we use.
The babywarma makes it much easier to hold Bear in the water. He’s quite a little baby so can be difficult to hold, but the babywarma makes it easier to grip him, as well as keeping him warm.
Lamb also loves swimming and goes with his dad most Fridays after pre-school. He can swim with armbands and we’re working on teaching him to swim without them. He’s confident enough to try now so I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re sharing the news that he can swim.
